Chapter 8: Talent Show

Fast Forward

Minhye POV

"This is the day of the talent show yay! May the best win!" Haneul elatedly said and squeeze my hands

"Yeah may the best win" I said in a monotonous tone

The stage is dressed like someone is conducting a concert, the crowd is all hyped up. The voice of the emcee echoes along the place. The people kept shouting and I am just nonchalant.

"For the first contestant lets give it up for the leaders! Presenting S.Coups, Hoshi and Woozi!"

People are confused on who are they even me! it's the first time that I heard those names, what are they? A new transferred students?

The curtain began to open, and the lights went on its proper highlights. The 3 contestants are facing back to the audience as the intro began to play.

"Change up, change up change up" A voice echoed on the place and when they turned around they are Seungcheol, Soonyoung and Jihoon!

"gieo ullyeo gyeseok dallyeo eksel balbaya hae

tteugeowojin enjin gyesok gyesok gayeolhaeya dwae" they continued their performance

"Omg this is the first time that I saw Jihoon without glasses! He's so cute!" a random girl said

"Seungcheol is on fire!" another girl said

o-kay maybe it's the first time that they saw cheol in brushed up lol

I waited for his solo part to come out and without being cheesy, I am happy for him because he's really good at rapping, our eyes met but he suddenly looked away.

The crowd was all hyped up with their performance because of their synchronized dance moves just like a kpop group. To be honest I am amazed too.

Seungcheol POV

Thankfully we are able to perform lively, it's one of my dreams!

"Wow that was lit! What an impressive performance to begin our show!" the emcee came in

"Kumapta!" the three of us bowed

"But we are just curious, where does those names came from?"

"Those are our stage names; the letter S is from my first name and Coups means success"

"Ohh okay alright lets give them a lot applause!"

All of us went to the backstage, we can see a lot of faces that are smiling at us.

Third Person's POV

The three of them exited the stage.

"And now it's time to introduce our second contestant, lets give it up to the hiphop team! Presenting Mingyu, Vernon and Wonwoo!"

"I'm in trauma, it's got me singing, stuck in trauma noraena bureullae

Blah blah blah blah an ichyeojyeo wae

This my trauma yeah my trauma" Mingyu started the song with a bang and smiled to everyone

The crowd was lively as they swayed their heads to the song. Then Vernon came out with his red long sleeves and grey hair.

"Trauma got me bad bad

jungi ttae nan jatoe

Basically had no friends yah yah

Boxed in boxed in na honjaye segye yah yah

Stuck in my fantasy like (woah)

Dreaming it to be real life (woah)"

The squealing of the girls is high leveled their voices are reverberating along the venue. Mingyu threw a rose in the air and the crowd fought just to get it. After then, Wonwoo came in

They ended well, and their performance is on fire. A lot of girls seems fangirling over them. The next contestants followed and performs on stage too, but they only got few appreciations because of their underrated acts.

Haneul POV

It is clear that only two groups are competing, Mingyu's group and Cheol's group. Both of them did great but honestly, Wonwoo captured my heart because of his warm smile and rap skills.

"Hey hey! Whom do you think will win?" I asked Minhye who is busy texting

"I don't know am I the judge?" she said showing a hint of annoyance on her face

"Tch" I rolled my eyes and grab her phone

"yahh why are your eyes glued to your phone" when I looked at her phone she was busy looking at the pictures that she took. It was Mingyu's photos while performing on stage, so I playfully teased her

"Haha so you just fall for Mingyu?!"

"Lol I'm not! I took all of them a photo, here look I have Vernon, Jihoon etc here"

"Wow aesthetic! How about cheol?"

"Ehem" she just groaned

"Opps sorry hmm how about my Wonwoo?"

"Am I hallucinating or you just say 'my Wonwoo' " she said while quoting 'my Wonwoo' on air

"Ahihi ssssh be quiet! I started to like him"

"Wow so you just admitted that you like him, okay no worries!"

Mingyu POV

When I passed by while walking to get water from the drinking station a lot girls are approaching me.

"Mingyu oppa let's take a selca please" so as not being labeled as snob, I did

"Oppa you're really good at rapping!"

Then I saw Minhye who is taking her way close to mine. So I just waved at her

"Minhye-ah!" the girls infront of me went on silence after I said her name

"Oh Mingyu! You did well congrats" she said in a shy tone

"Come here"

"But Mingyu oppa! Lets take a selca first" a random girl keeps on approaching me

"Later, later" I said

Minhye walks near me and then I just pull her nearer and hugged her. A lot of people are looking at us and the fangirls rolled their eyes

"Thank you, this is for you" she was shocked when I hugged her, my arms are wrapped on her waist.

"U—uhhm welcome" she stutters

"Ehem ehem public display of attention is not allowed on our school" Wonwoo nudge me

"The announcement of winners will be revealed on a couple of seconds" Vernon joined

"I am nervous" I said then I looked at the other way around. I saw Soonyoung, Jihoon and Seungcheol who are also nervous for the results.

"Alright! Are you guys excited to know who is our winner for this talent show?" the emcee said in an energetic way

"Yesss!!!!!!" all the people screamed

My heart beats faster, goodluck for us

"And the winner for our first ever talent show is ..."
