I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder, and turned to face Cassie gazing at me. She seemed just as shocked and confused as I was. 'well, it's now or never...right?'
"let's go," I stated blandly.
We set off to the back of the building and as I turned the corner there in fact was a woman standing there. She was quiet short and petite with blazing red hair and some freckles. She had on a pair of brown large framed glasses in front of her vibrant golden eyes. She turned and saw us and immediately gave us a glare.
"what are you doing here?!," she sneered drawing an AK-47 and pointing it directly at my face, inches away.
"the chief of sector 7 sent us. We're here to see The Creator."I stated professionally.
Her eyes widened and she lowered her weapon and nodded for us to follow her. As we walked, I thought about why The Creator wanted to see me. I should be ready to fight and get my crew out of there if I needed to.
"don't worry, He's not going to hurt you....or any of your friends,"she whispered.
"o-okay," I replied shakily. It's like she was reading my mind.
Truth be told, I was terrified and I was confused. I needed answers like yesterday. I glanced back at Caspian through the corner of my eye, he was looking at me I blushed and sped up my walking a little. He came up next to me and gave me a tiny smile. 'why am I so damn nervous.....he's just a boy...right?' I reached out and grabbed two of his fingers, but I couldn't stop my hand from shaking. He must've noticed my hesitance because he fully held my hand and intertwined our fingers together.
I looked up and noticed that the woman came to a stop, I looked at the small, run-down building and gazed back to the girl. 'this is it? This is the place?' I pondered to myself.
"we're here, I'm not authorized to take you any farther than the main gate, but I will warn you.....don't step off the path, don't follow any noises, don't stray from the guide.ever," she dictated sternly as she opened the door with a loud creak. We stepped in and I glanced around, I stopped and stared when I saw a figure looming by another set of double doors.
"Well...well..well..who have we here?", the young mans voice echoed as we approached him.
"You know damn well who's here", I coldly retorted.
I had no clue who this guy was, but he gave off quiet the cocky vibe.
"Now, now, there's no need to be so hostile. I won't bite.....",he replied calmly," unless provoked."
Who did this guy think he was?! not only was he kind if cocky, but he also seemed to have a natural born talent for bringing out the anger in people.
"Look, I'm really not in the mood for this so just take me to Creator and keep your trap shut," I complied striding closer to him.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk", he replied calmly," that's not how things work around here, doll-face."
"Well then, complete stranger, how DO things 'work' around here?", I asked.
"You keep your mouth shut, follow my instructions, and look pretty, while I take you where you need to go. Do that, and nobody gets hurt," he replied slyly, a smirk placed firmly upon his face.
I rolled my eyes and glared at him. How could so much self-confidence be crammed into that tall, thin body? I'd never understand. Although....its not like he wasn't attractive, I'd be lying if I said he wasn't. He had slightly long black hair with neon blue dyed tips, he obviously had on a large amount of mascara on which made is crystal blue eyes pop indefinitely. He was slightly muscular and had snake-bite lip piercings and numerous earrings on. Not to mention he was draped in all black, and I was pretty sure that he was checking me out.
