Saraphine......", Caspian murmured softly getting closer looking into my eyes with concern.
"y-yes Caspian.", I stammered.
"are you still uncertain about the Grail?", he asked.
'oh....he just wanted to know if I was still questioning the Grails way of handling things'
"not really anymore, over this past week I've become accustomed to the Grail and it's.....work...it doesn't really phase me anymore", I answered solemnly.
Caspian was the first to tell me I was a part of the Grail, and Their work. The Grail's main purpose is to get rid of the demon children known as Anomalies, they look like regular children but they are really evil spirits trying to eat away at the hosts fear. Since children are easily frightened, they are preyed on by Anomalies. Sadly, when we defeat an Anomaly that child forgets everything about themselves. There is no other way to defeat and Anomaly without slicing off its head, thus rendering the child memory less. It's a rather sickening process.
"good......you can't doubt the Grail, they're doing this to protect the children...you understand that right?", he asked his tone showing his concern.
"yes. I know.", I replied sternly
'this is to save them. They're being saved.'
"good", he said turning on his heel and walking back to the room.
'well.....at least he talked to you Sara...'
As I strode back into the room with disappointment, I noticed Zeke was back discussing some ridiculous strategy to defeat 5 anomaly at once. Abbey was still in the chair, taking notes and asking strange questions about the depth of the plan and Zeke would answer. Cassie and Xander were on the couch paying close attention to Zeke at important points, then talking in between. Then there was Caspian, sitting on my desk, listening to Zeke speak about slashing and sword-play. He glanced in my direction and smiled coaxing me to sit at my desk and join the meeting. I let my eyes wander around the room over all the people I had grown closer to over the past week, and I walked over to my desk and sat down because I was content.
And then the alarm went off.
