Mercury

It's been three days since Nat has thrown me into one of the rooms. Ordering JARVIS to keep the door locked and to not open it under any circumstances. Of course the AI obliged and now I've been here blankly staring at a wall for the past 48 hours.

I say 48 because the first 24 hours of me being in here consisted of me crying and begging for them to open the door. After no avail, I gave up and just sat against the door. Listening to them argue just a few feet away from the room. It was muffled arguing and couldn't hear anything but one thing I could hear for sure was there voices.

Nat and Tony seemed skeptical about me while Clint, Thor, Bruce, and Steve were trying their best to convince one of them to let me out. I heard footsteps as they sounded like they were headed for me. I immediately felt the nerves bubbling with in at the thought of them opening the door.

The footsteps stopped and I carefully placed my ear against the door.

"Thor, are you sure about this?" Tony asked.

"100 percent. No one on this earth could have known about the dark elves." He croaked, the pain still weighing heavenly on his heart.

I let out a sigh, leaning my head against the door, "It was a beautiful ceremony." I added.

"I watched as Asgard mourned the loss of their queen, watching her disappear back into the stars. I cried, at how beautiful it was."

There was radio silence as I sat there numbly. My finger just lightly scrapping the cold metallic door.

"J," Tony hesitated. Before he could finish I heard the door unlock and pull open as I came tumbling to the ground. A gasp left my mouth as my hands hit the floor, four hand immediately helping to my aid.

I looked up to see both Steve and Thor helping me to my feet. I gave them a kind smile before thanking them which they returned.

I looked at Nat, her emotions looking like they were everywhere. Like she didn't know what to believe, almost as if she was scared of what I knew.

"I believe you owe me a sandwich."

Steve chuckled beside me and Tony laughed as we all made our back to the kitchen. I sat down in the same stool I did three days ago and waited patiently as Clint made me "the best sandwich in the world you're going to die at how good it is sandwich."

Clint dropped the plate I front of me and went with others to stand in front of me. I felt a bit uncomfortable with them all staring at me like that and standing there with their arms crossed intimidatingly.

"Uh can y'all not stand like that? I feel like I'm being interrogated and the last time that happened it didn't end up so well."

Thor was the first to step up, taking a seat in front of me while the rest sat around or casually hopped on a counter like Clint.

"Look, Mercury, is it?" Thor asked and I nodded my head.

"We just want to know as much as you do, what's going on."

"Are you a spy." Natasha blurted out.

My gaze quickly turned to her and I couldn't help but burst out laughing. She looked taken back by my sudden outburst and I was almost in tears.
