Ever since I've gotten to wherever the hell I am, I've only been a thorn in everyone's side.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of feet stomping and giggling from the other side of the door.

"Cooper!"

There was a loud bang and more hurried feet.

"Cooper! Lila! What was that!" A woman's voice hollered from below.

"Nothing!" The two smaller voices yelled back. There was more sniggering and footsteps, followed by a door slamming shut and then silence.

I waited a couple of seconds, allowing my body and mind to fully wake up, before opening my eyes. The bright yellow-orange sunlight immediately filled the room and I let out a sigh. The thought of staying in bed sounding much more appealing than going downstairs and facing everyone.

After last nights mental breakdown in front of everyone and the murderous state coming from Natasha, my hesitation was a no brainer. I decided to close my eyes for a few seconds longer, basking in the cool room and warm comforter.

"Cooper!" My eyes shot open at the yell that was followed by a long round of laughing and pounding footsteps. I let out a sigh as I realized there was no way I was going to fall back asleep in this house. I turned from my side and onto my back, yesterday's events replaying in my head like a movie reel.

What is my life.

I let out another deep sigh and made the horrible decision of getting out of bed. My bare feet touched the cold ground, funnily enough I don't remember taking my socks off last night. They must be hiding somewhere in the comforters.

Thankfully there's a small bathroom connected to the bedroom as I made my way over and washed up. There was no toothbrush I could borrow so I settle for the ole toothpaste on the finger trick. Wasn't the most effective makeshift toothbrush but it somewhat did it's job. After washing all the crud out of my eyes and wiping my face of all sleepy ness I put my hair in a long braid and walked downstairs.

As I made my way down I was finally able to set eyes on the giggling and feet pounding little gremlins. Two kids, a boy and girl, were racing past me while laughing. The boy accidentally knocked into me but he was quick to stop and turn.

"Sorry ma'am!" He giggled before running off.

Ma'am? How old do i look?

The old stairs creaked beneath my weight as the front door and part of the kitchen and living room came into view. I could hear a few murmurs mixed in with some sizzling of something cooking in a pan.

Sausage?

Before I entered the kitchen I peaked into the living room. Seeing it empty. The two couches opposite each other looked slept in. One was completed still covered in blankets and pillows and the other was disturbed but the blankets were nicely folded on one of the cushions.
