TAKE A BREAK!
If you ever take a hiatus don't work yourself up and try to write another chapter. I know you gotta work hard to get where you want to be but working yourself up is just a ticket to writers block. and them shits suck like booty infections!
WATCH A MOVIE!
Watching a movie helps me a-lot-yo! I can never think of new ideas for another chapter or a new book. I watch movies from the 90s and I sometimes use some of the scenes for plot ideas, or even dialogue!
LISTEN TO MUSIC!
Listening to music helps you get into the mood of writing your book. Listening to some of Tupac's songs helps me when I'm writing a chapter of someone being angry! Because Pacs deep voice and the way he's expressing his emotions throughout the song is amazing!
CLEAN WORK SPACE!
I can't stand sitting at a dirty desk with all my unnecessary papers, books, pens and whatever junk I have on there. It just makes my mind go all over the place. Cleaning your work space helps stimulate your mind, and keeps you focused on what you are writing.
KEEP A NOTEBOOK!
Just in case one of your chapters get deleted- make sure you always write before you actually type of your chapters. Because sometimes wattpad be playnnn! Also- I write down ideas so I won't forget 'em. Random ideas be popping up in my head at 2 in the damn morning and then, I be telling myself to remember it and as soon as I wanna start writing I forget.
READ READ READ!
Literally every writer has to read. It's how I mostly gain inspiration.
Staring blankly at a computer screen, desperately trying to type out a sentence that makes sense. The words seem to be jumbled in your brain, and no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to come out right. It's the dreaded writer's block, and it can happen to anyone. But fear not! There are ways to break through this creative barrier.
First, take a break from writing and do something else that stimulates your mind. This could be as simple as going for a walk or listening to music. Next, try getting out of your usual writing environment and go somewhere new. A change of scenery can help spark creativity. If all else fails, try free-writing without any judgement or expectations - just let the words flow onto the page. Remember, writer's block is temporary, so don't give up on your craft. Keep pushing forward and soon enough, inspiration will strike again.
