Chapter 9 - Sinking Ship

"It's not very stylish... but if just destroying their heads is enough then I guess this is the fastest way..." Sebastian said as he crushed all the corpses' heads.

"Ciel!"

Ciel appeared to be in a trance. Until Francesca snapped him out of it. He held onto her hand then Sebastian and Lotti stepped forward, gaining their attention.

"We're done, young master." Lotti smiled.

They were stood in a pool of blood and surrounded by corpses. Ciel was still breathing heavily but then it returned to normal.

"What's wrong? Come. Please come over." Sebastian said, holding his hands out.

Ciel frowned as he began to climb down. "Don't touch me with those hands. They're filthy."

"I'm very sorry." Sebastian said. "I'll change them immediately." He changed his gloves then helped Ciel down. Ciel then helped Francesca down.

"Couldn't you of done this a little more elegantly?" Ciel said as he looked at the blood covering the floor. "Just like beasts."

"We're sorry." Lotti said. "It was an emergency. Also, their bodies seem to be much softer than a regular human beings. They're quite weak."

"But why are there do many on this ship?" Francesca asked.

"I think..." Sebastian paused and threw knives towards boxes. Ryan stood there. "It would be good to ask him."

"Ryan Stoker." Ciel and Francesca said in sync.

"It's not like that!! That was an incomplete complete salvation and... I didn't plan on reviving them in this unhealthy state... Please listen to me! I'm in a hurry and... OW!!" Ryan rambled on as Sebastian walked over and held his arms in place.

"No need to be hasty. There is entry of time until we reach New York so we'll listen to your story leisurely." Sebastian smiled.

"What do you mean she left?" Hiro boomed, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "She wouldn't! She can't!"

"We're sorry, master!!" Mey-Rin, Baldroy and Finny said bowing in front of the purple haired noble. "She left you a note though!!" Finny handed Hiro a finely folded piece of paper.

Hiro took the paper from his hand and carefully unfolded it. His eyes scanned the words until he reached the end. "How could she just leave me..." Hiro whispered. "Why do women always deny me?" Hiro raised his eyebrows at the three servants.

"W-We don't know!" They said in sync.

"Hohoho." Tanaka sat in the corner of the room.

"Usually there isn't a woman I cannot make mine but when I do so, and when I'm serious about it they leave." Hiro began ripping the paper to shreds with his finely gloved hands. "Am I really only good for one thing?"

"I'm sure you're good at that one thing yes you are!" Mey-Rin said with a smile. "What is that, though?"

"Intercourse." Hiro chuckled bitterly. "Maybe you'd like to try it with me, madam? You are quite attractive after all."

Mey-Rins face heated up instantly and she didn't know what to say. Hiro laughed and turned on his heel to walk away. "He's a real womaniser that guy," Baldroy said. "No woman can resist his charm."

"This ship had the latest gigantic boiler with a reciprocating steam engine installed at the center. This place is divides into two sections, the boiler separates them." Ryan told them. He made it clear he was terrified of Sebastian and Lotti.

"What of it?" Ciel raised an eyebrow.

"In other words, this ship is divided into a front and stern. There are TWO freight storages!!" Ryan exclaimed. "And in the front freight storage... we have stored ten times as many samples as there were here."

"Ten times as many!?" Francesca yelled in shock.

"Well this turned into something unpleasant, young master." Lotti said.

"Do you think 'unpleasant' covers it!?" Ciel replied then turned his back to the two demons. "Even one of those monsters is a hassle."

"Just imagine ten times this..." Francesca mumbled.

"Sebastian. Go ahead and take my aunt and the others to a safe place." Ciel ordered as he walked back over to Francesca. "Come back as soon as you're sure they are safe!"

"Certainly." Sebastian ran off to complete the order he had been given.

"How about telling us everything?" Francesca turned to Ryan whom was being restrained by Lotti. "And be brief, I'm not very patient."

"First of all, how should we deal with them?" Ciel questioned.

"Eh?"

"There is no way you decided to transport something so dangerous without any kind of insurance." Francesca added. "Isn't there another way to stop them aside from smashing their heads?"

"...we... Well, there is one... There is a device that allows you to render patients subjected to complete salvation inactive again, by exposing them to special supersonic waves." Ryan explained.

"And where is it?" Ciel asked.

"...in my room, in first class."

"Take us there." Ciel ordered.

"What was that shock just now?" Francesca asked with worry.

All of a sudden, water came rushing through a hole in the side of the ship. The water doors began closing. Ciel, Francesca and Lotti began running so they wouldn't be locked inside. Francesca was about to get locked inside when Ciel rolled under the door, leaving Lotti on the other side.

"Young master!! Lady Whitehall!!" Lotti called.

"Don't break the door!" Ciel ordered. "Go find Sebastian! I'll find a way to escape, don't worry!"

Ciel hurried over to Francesca and hugged her tightly. "Ciel! Why!?" Francesca exclaimed.

"I promised I'd protect you at all costs!" Ciel replied and held onto her hand tightly. "We can escape through the duct!" The pair began climbing up the stairs to the duct. "First, take off the dress! It'll only slow you down and you can't fit in the duct!"

"N-No! I can't!"

Ciel ripped the dress mercilessly. "If you don't survive then it'll be my fault! I'll get you a new dress... just hurry!"

Lotti hurried on the deck towards Sebastian. He had just climbed back aboard the ship. He was soaked.

"Sebastian!" Lotti called. "What happened?"

Sebastian turned around just in time to welcome Lotti into his arms. She didn't care about getting her clothes wet.

"Ah, my love. It's nothing for you to worry about." Sebastian replied. He picked up his coat and pulled Lotti along by her hand. "At quick glance, the ship seems to have taken damage over quite an extensive area. In this state, 3... No. At least four divisions should have flooded already."

"The ship can only handle a mass of water as heavy as the vessel itself. Which means... My, this is..."

"The ship will sink within the hour." Sebastian concluded.

"The water should be about two degrees. To be soaked in it for a long time will harm the body." Lotti said and Sebastian nodded.

"We must hurry to their side."
