Chapter 10 - Annoying Reapers

"Sebastian!! Lotti!!" Francesca exclaimed upon seeing the demons. Lotti helped her down from the duct.

"Please excuse our tardiness." Lotti bowed. "Are you two injured?"

"Never mind that. What about Alexander and the others?" Ciel questioned.

"They are unharmed." Sebastian said. "I tried to guide them to a safer place, but they said they wanted to rescue the other passengers."

"That's so typical of them." Ciel muttered.

"Well then, the lifeboats are being prepared as we speak." Lotti informed.

Just at that exact moment, Grell, Ronald and Dolly burst through the ceiling and landed with a loud crash on the floor.

"Found you~ hottie." Grell grinned and looked at Sebastian.

"Grell Sutcliff!" Francesca said, frowning.

"Yeeees! Long time no see, Bassie!! And you... Witch." Grell glanced at Lotti then back to Sebastian. "It must be fate for us to meet here again!"

"It's just a coincidence." Sebastian clarified.

"AH! So cold. That side of you is lovely as always." Grell began swooning.

"Ahh man, he found him..." Ronald grumbled.

"Please don't forget about the souls, okay?" Dolly added.

"Please tell me sooner when Bassie's around!! I would have out more effort into my makeup!" Grell pouted.

"We didn't tell you because we thought that's exactly what you'd say..." Ronald shrugged.

Sebastian, Lotti, Ciel and Francesca ran past the reapers until Grell noticed. He swung into action. Sebastian and Lotti lifted the nobles up, away from Grell's attack.

"We need to hurry on, so could you please open the way?" Lotti asked.

"And if I say no?" Grell replied.

"We'll have to use force." Sebastian glared.

"That's fine... I don't mind you getting a little aggressive. Well then, lets have a death match that's even hotter than a love romance!!" Grell declared.

Sebastian ran forwards and was going to kick Grell but the reaper ducked and tried cutting Sebastian. However, the demon butler jumped from the wall. Grell ended up cutting the wall letting the water flow through.

Lotti stopped Ronald and Dolly from attacking the nobles. Ciel and Francesca backed to the wall behind them, sitting in the water. The moving corpses entered the room and were walking towards the two. Ciel and Francesca took out their guns and tried shooting the corpses but the bullets were wet. The guns were useless.

Lotti turned, trying to shove the reapers away. Sebastian ran to the nobles after Grell began complaining about his hair. He crushed the corpses' skulls and was about to attack Grell again when Ciel stopped him. Lotti finished with Dolly and Ronald and headed over to Sebastian.

"Wait! Sebastian!" Ciel called. "We have no time to worry about those guys! Ryan holds the key to everything in this case, follow him!"

"You mean that if we out the screw on that guy we can learn a about these walking corpses?" Grell paused his actions.

Ronald was busy looking through a book. He walked to Grell. "Senpai, look." Grell glanced at the book.

"I see." Grell mumbled. "Indeed, we have no time to waste." The trio stepped back before leaping in the air to the floor above. "It's too bad, but well have to leave it at this for now, Bassie~~"

Ciel was about to stand up when he fell back down from pain in his leg. Sebastian hurried over to inspect it. "It's quite swollen."

"Ah, let me carry you, young master." Lotti said, lifting the noble up.

"This is embarrassing at my age." Ciel muttered.

"In any case, our next move is to find Ryan, correct?" Francesca said.

"Correct." Ciel confirmed.

Sebastian walked to the maid and kissed her lips carefully. "Let's go."

As Lotti was carrying Ciel around with Sebastian and Francesca following, Viscount of Druitt was walking around the halls casually with some form of device.

"Please allow me to ask, why is someone like you in such a place?" Francesca questioned, stepping forward.

Druitt held Francesca's hand suddenly, "Aren't you a pretty little thing?" He said then he turned to Lotti and stroked her cheek. "And you, my dear."

Sebastian and Ciel became a little irritated by this. "Just answer the question." Ciel demanded.

"You know, there is something I absolutely want to protect, even if it means risking my life on this sinking ship." He held a wine glass in the air. "Actually, those corpses are just like puppets to me... Oops. I guess I spoke too much. Well then, excuse me." He was about to walk away.

The four gritted their teeth and pulled the ridiculous pose along with 'the Phoenix'. Druitt smirked with approval.

"That device! Could it be something to stop the corpses?" Ciel asked.

"Where did you get that information?"

"As I thought... Is it you then?" Ciel was persistent.

"If you want to know, just follow me. I will show you to the coming of a new aurora thanks to medicine."
