After hours of talking to Theo about Jack, my family and my dog which died, I told him to take me back to the room because I was a bit tired. I threw myself on my bed and closed my eyes for a brief second before standing up again to take off the clothes. And the combat boots. But I first need to wash the sweat off.

I stripped down my clothes and walked into the bathroom. The hot water hit my back in a soothing way. After I made sure I was completely clean, I wrapped a towel around my chest.

I shrieked as I entered my room. “How'd you enter?”

“The door was open. You know you can close it and lock it right?” Jack said as he sat upright.

“What do you want?” I rolled my eyes at him.

“I want you to understand why I left Amber.” He shifted towards me. I took a step back.

“I think I already do understand Jack.” Saying his name felt like poison on my tongue.

“Do you? Then I guess you know I was trying to protect you and the people back home.” I nearly laughed.

“Don't make me roll my eyes at you Jack.” I said resisting the urge to roll my eyes.

“You can roll them all you want Ambi. I at least wasn't taken against my will.”

“Shut up you disgusting piece of shit!” I threw my lotion at him but he caught it. “And my name is Amber, you no longer have the authority to call me Ambi.”

“Whoa Ambi.” He grinned. I marched towards him and whacked him behind the head. “Sorry Amber.” He laughed.

“Better get it right next time if you want to see the sun again.” I said, dead serious.

“Listen,” He laid his head on my chest. “I'm so sorry for leaving you behind, please forgive me because I still love you Amber. I will always love you. You make me feel complete.”

“Jack, I don't know. I still love you of course but a part of me hates you. No not hate, loathes you.” I said as he faced me, he had tears streaming down his face. I stared into his puppy brown eyes. He pulled me down next to him. I sighed as I let the tears loose.

“I don't blame you for loathing me Amber.” He lightly kissed my lips. “I too hate myself for losing you.” He said as he kissed me one last time before standing up to leave. “Lock the door.” He said as he disappeared out the door.
