Automatically after seeing the now toddler-friendly room, the small boy immediately got out of Taehyung's hold and dashed inside, emitting a series of surprises giggles.

Taehyung had placed an Alphabet mat on the floor along with a few toys he had bought the other day.

The toddler had actually dozed off for a while when Taehyung had been preparing the small room. But now, especially after the child's adrenaline had been restored after his two hour nap, Taehyung was in for a treat. He should have known parents would never let their children sleep in the afternoon because then the child would be up all night.

It was evening by the time Taehyung had finished decorating the new room, and coincidentally was the same time the toddler had woken up.

Right now, all the elder wanted was nothing but sleep. He was absolutely exhausted moving about the unused objects in the room. He had regretted so badly not clearing it up often.

The small toddler sat on the mat, under a certain letter, and out of all toys, was playing with Mr Sprinkles' loose bow tie.

Taehyung was sitting on his armchair on the other end of the room, on the verge of dozing off, but he didn't get to that extent when he heard the toddler babble something for the first time in a while.

"N-name," the toddler spluttered out, pointing at the letter he was sitting on.

Genuinely curious, Taehyung decided to entertain the child.

"Name?" Taehyung asked.

The toddler only continued pointing on the letter.

"Name," he managed to say again, and shifted his bum to reveal the letter 'J'.

"Your name is J?" Taehyung asked, but he realised he could have phrased his sentence better.

"Your name starts with J?" He tried again.

The younger looked up at him with those same big eyes Taehyung had gotten used to the past few days before nodding vigorously and smiling his signature toothy smile.

"Jay," Taehyung smiled. "So what's your actual name?"

"Jay!" the toddler giggled.

"I'll call you Jay then," Taehyung concluded, knowing the toddler wouldn't be able to answer his question.

"Jay," the toddler said again, as if he were getting used to it. Taehyung couldn't help but smile.

Then, his stomach starts grumbling quite unrealistically loud. They both really needed to get dinner soon, realising that he'd skipped a few meals that day trying to get the room all cleaned up as fast as possible.

So, he picked Jay up and headed for the living room.

He repositioned Jay on the sofa so that he was facing directly towards the kitchen, noticing that he still had his hands grasped on Mr Sprinkles tightly. Jimin probably wouldn't be happy knowing his teddy bear's bow was now loosely draped against its' neck when it wasn't supposed to be, but it seemed Jay grew attached to the thing, and Taehyung couldn't bear the thought of taking it away from him.

So the latter made his way to the kitchen reluctantly, thinking that Jay wouldn't do too good on his own in the living room.

But that aside, he continued on his way and brought out two plates, one big and the other small, along with a set of normal sized cutlery and another set of smaller sized cutlery. He could've sworn he hadn't bought new utensils for Jay, so he assumed the smaller sized cutlery kept away at a corner of the cupboard was used by Jimin whenever there were children visiting. How fortunate.

Taehyung loaded the small bowl with the packet of baby food. It required water to be poured on, and Taehyung immediately realised that these were infant food and were made up of seemingly raw food items. He stuck his finger in the bowl of powder and tasted the few grains on his fingertip.

Immediately, he resisted the urge to gag and possibly vomit. He turned the food's packet over to reveal that not only had he been dumb, but also possibly blind, for the expiry date clearly printed in bold indeed states that the food item had expired.

He internally face palmed himself, before disposing the filled bowl. He knew Jay wouldn't even think about placing a spoonful in his mouth, just with the looks of it alone. Heck, he didn't want to have to bring the toddler to the clinic and be accused of food poisoning the innocent child.

The fact that both Taehyung and Jay had not eaten much that day was not helping.

Unsure of what to do next, he phoned his hyung, who might have a tad bit of an experience with food.
