It had been hours since Taehyung had left his once steaming hot beverage to drop its' temperature alone on the table, and long decades since he had ever felt this excited and anticipating.

He reminisced the old times where his dorm used to be a shared one, thanks to his friend who was having trouble with his own rent in his own apartment.

Next thing he knew, the latter moved in with him and soon they dubbed themselves as soulmates.

Jimin had been there for Taehyung for as long as he could remember. He still remembered how devastated he was when he learnt about Jimin's leaving.

The elder had been promoted to continue his career in America, and it would have been a waste if Jimin had declined the offer.

Fortunate for him, Taehyung was more than happy to support his friend in his success, despite the latter's reluctance in leaving him alone in Seoul.

But now, as promised, Jimin had made arrangements to visit Taehyung for a while before heading back to the States again.

According to the elder, he was staying over at their once shared dorm for nearly a month since his boss had allowed him to take that amount of leaves.

Now, Taehyung was hurriedly stacking books after books from his messed up cupboard just by his television.

He wanted to make sure the place was spot on to begin with.

He fumbled with a few already read books left untouched by the corner and began stowing them away for now as it made his home look unorganised.

Next, he made his way to Jimin's old room to make sure the stuff inside weren't already messed up though he distinctly remembered ever going in there since the elder had left.

As he made his way through his narrow hallway, the slightly ajar door of another room caught his attention.

From the angle he was at, Taehyung stared at it for a few seconds, before blinking once and hesitantly making his way inside it.

The smell of baby powder invaded his nostrils when he fully opened the store room, leaving him with a blow to his guts.

It was like all his emotions suddenly zapped back into life.

Jay.

How could he ever forget that small bundle of joy he encountered in his life?

Not knowing how long he's been standing in the empty room, Taehyung snapped back into reality and brought his hand up to his cheeks.

It was wet. He shed a tear.

Unbelievable.

Four hours prior to Taehyung's little pity party was when he had finally realised how he had promised Jimin a certain responsibility when the latter got back.

The day he found Jay and immediately resorted to text his friend about the situation flashed crystal clear in his mind.

Jimin wasn't aware.

He wasn't aware of the current ordeal Taehyung was facing.

And Taehyung wasn't aware on how to break such news to his dear friend.

Unfortunately, as much as he dreaded it, Taehyung had been talking to the elder recently when the topic he was trying to avoid casually slipped in their conversation.
