The next day was like hell, I woke up with no motivation. I had slept over at Sarah's place. She lived in a little apartment, not far from the school. We ate breakfast and went to school. First class was French, we watched a movie and I sat on my phone. twelve

10:11- Cam, at least talk to me...
10:13- Why wouldn't you answer me?
10:47- Ok, please. I beg you to call me! You can't just leave me like that.

I was angry at him for not answering me, but I was angrier at myself. Why did I need to fight with him? It was my fault. I needed to talk to him, but he wouldn't give me the chance. I had no idea where he was, or when he would be back.

After school, I went to Starbucks with Emily. She loved to talk about boys, knowing that Cam was gone was her opportunity to come with the new boys. But I didn't want to meet another guy, I wanted Cam. When we were inside, warmed up from the ice-cold weather outside. We sat down on a couch, ordered drinks and just small talked. A girl that worked here came with our drinks, when I looked up at her I saw someone standing behind her, on the other side of the room. Jacob was sitting in a chair with another guy, I couldn't see the guys face. Jacob reacted to me staring at him, smiled and stood up. He came to us, "Hey Nora" he said light, with a bright smile. "Oh, hey Jacob," I said light, it was good to see him.
"I don't believe we have met, I'm Jacob, a friend of Nora." He said and looked at Emily.
"Where did you guys meet?" She asked but didn't take away her eyes from him. "We met back at the Academy," I said short.
"Well I'm here with someone, but I hope to see you again soon"
"Oh, who are you with?" Emily ignored his goodbye, she was too curious.
"My boyfriend" he gave a little laugh, cause the look on Emily's face was to die for. She was totally shocked.
"Your ..." I said, embarrassed over Emily's flirting.
"Gay, yes. I'm gay." He smiled, "Oh, ok then. See you later then?" I wanted to laugh but didn't want to be rude or make it weird. He walked back to his table, first now I could see a bit of his boyfriend. He was blonde, tall and muscular.

The room got cold, a cold vibe went through me. I took on my jacket. We talked, I ignored my sorrow over Cam and had fun talking to Emily.

My mom was coming home tomorrow, she had paid for a hotel I could live in until the house was fixed. It was an ok place, not big but not too small. It had a little kitchen, one bedroom, a veranda and living room with a TV and a sofa.

I sat down on the couch, looked through Netflix for something to watch. And after a wild, I turned the tv off and went out on the veranda. It was all dark, the stars flitted up the sky, the moon was big and bright. It was no wind, to sound. Just the cars down on the road. The little light from the cars, and the sound of the wheels on the asphalt. I leaned over the bannister. Looked up at the moon, my thought wondered over where Cam was right now. When would he be back? If he ever would... things wouldn't be like they used to. Maybe it was for the best, it would never have worked ... he was an Angel, immortal... it would have ended like a bad vampire love movie. When I looked at the stars I swear I saw something fly over the sky, something big and fast. It flew over some buildings and landed on a flat roof on a building on the other side of the road. I leaned my head slightly to the side and focused on seeing what it was. Could it be.... it had to be an angel, there were no birds on that size this close to the city.

The shadow walked to the edge of the roof, looked at the direction of me. It was in the shape of a human but had something on its back. Wings. It was an angel. It was no chance to see who it was, maybe it was Cam. I walked inside, closed the veranda door and went to the door, took on my shoes and went down the stairs. I pushed up the outdoor and walked out on the streets. The air was cold, a strong wind blow hit my face like broken glass, I regretted for not taking a jacket with me. My breath made a cloud in the cold air. I looked to both sides, looking if there was anyone around. i started walking over the road, to the building with the angel standing on the roof. The building was abandoned, windows and doors were bolted with planks. I walked up to the door, the wood was rotten, and all the windows were broken. I grabbed the plank that was blocking for the door, tried to rip it away. It didn't move one inch. I took a short step back, looked down at my black heels. In a second, I kicked the door in with a kick. Inside it was dusty, old. No one had been here for a long time... it used to be a library, but was never used, so, they had shut it down. Spider webs and darkness, it was all it was. except some old books that was left behind and graffiti on the walls. I walked up the stairs, all the way to the top.
I opened the door and took a step out on the wet asphalt. It was darker up here, the only sound to here was my feet splashing in the water puddles. I looked after the angel, but he was nowhere to see.
"Hey Nora," a dark voice said, a voice I hadn't heard in a long time. The voice of Daniel. In a fast move I turned around and saw him leaning his head a bit to the right, giving me a luring smile and looking me right in the eye.
"Daniel." I took a little step back.
"You were supposed to be dead." He said, with an annoyed tone. "I killed you. You died in that car."
"Cam saved me" I raised my head a bit, tried to show no fear.
"Yhee... after he beaded me down and temporarily killed me. -" he walked beside me and closer to the bannister, "The point of killing you was to make sure Cam couldn't... Where is he anyway? I heard he left, does he visit you often, or did he get tired of your nagging voice?"
"All the time..." I tried my best to lie without letting my voice shackle, but it wasn't convincing enough, I needed to lie better if he would believe it.
"To you want me to give him a message? It won't be long before he comes back, you know" he smiled and looked down, "You're a bad liar. But you go tell him, tell him; I'm back in town, I'm not afraid of him or his cute little friends. Tell him that I want what belongs to me." Had Cam stolen something from Daniel?
"And wild you're on it... tell him that I'm sorry I killed his girlfriend, twice." "Twice?" He got a luring and scary smile, I felt an instant freezing feeling. But before I could think over it he walked up to me, grabbed my arms and looked straight at me. He started walking and pulled me after him. "What are you doing!?"
"What I should have done from the start, I make sure you die." Tears ran down my cheeks, I tried to lean back, tried to get my hands free, but he was too strong.
he stopped when we were standing by the edge, I gave a fast look down, the asphalt was far down, a long fall. I looked up at Daniel, the tears were floating, he was going to puss me over, Cam couldn't save me. "Oh, don't worry. It goes quick, just a little fall and then it's all over."
"I don't wanna die," I said, shaking.
"Hmm, well. It's not up to you what you want." He smiled an evil smile and tighten his grip so hard it felt like my arm was losing all feeling.
"Any last words," he said and gave a little laugh,
"Go to hell," I said with the strongest voice I could fake. He laughed even harder,
"Goodbye Nora," he said light and gave me a hard push over. The feeling of flying, my heard bated like a drum. I stretched up my hand and grabbed the stone roof. I took all my powers into holding on, I grabbed my other hand beside the other and tried to pull myself up. It burned in my hands, I felt the pressure in my head, my hands got red and sweaty.
"No, no, no. That's cheating..." Daniel said in a joking voice and smiled. He lifted his foot and stepped on my fingers. I screamed the pain was unbearable.
"Stop! Stop it!" A voice came from behind him, it was a voice to a girl, crying voice. He lifted up his foot a bit, turned around and looked at the girl. It was Ariana. Her dark hair was flying in the wind, the jacket blew up behind her like a cape. Looking like a superhero. I would laugh if it wasn't for the fact that I was seconds from falling from a ten-story building.

My hands hurt like hell, my fingers were white, and I felt that I was weaker for every second, Daniel was still looking at Arianna, wondering what she was doing. Thinking that she could stand up against Daniel. She didn't have wings, she was weak, skinny and at least 12 inches shorter than him. Daniel slowly lifted his feet away from my hands, he slowly took a few steps closer to Ariana. She hesitated, took a short step back, she looked a little scared, she had no idea what she was doing. I tried to slowly get up, it was a lot harder then it looked like. I had been hanging for five minutes, I almost had no power left, but with a good foot stand, I would have a chance. I looked at my feet, trying to stand on the top of the stones that was standing a bit out. After trying out some places, my right foot got a good standpoint, it was more than enough to push myself a little up. One arm over, then the other. When I had gotten up, I looked at Daniel and Arianna, they were just arguing, but Daniel came closer and closer to her.

In the moment I was standing up, I heard something passing behind me, in the speed of a car, flying. It must have been an Angel. I was begging with all of my heart that it was Cam, I felt my heart slow down a bit by the thought that he would come and rescue us. I tried to look around at the sky, trying to find him. But nothing but darkness and stars. I looked at Ariana, she had a scared look in her eyes, crying for help, but there was nothing that I could have contributed with.

The shadow that had flying over the sky was back, he came behind Daniel and kicked him. Daniel fell down on his knees, looking down at his hands.
"Came to rescue your little kitten, why not show yourself. Stop hiding in the shadow." His voice was filled with hate and anger. He looked up and our eyes met. He slowly stood up and had a little smile on his face that made me worry. I could hear someone land on the roof right behind Daniel. And out from the shadows came Jacob. He didn't even look at me, he was so concentrated at Daniel, I wondered if he even knew I was here.
"Go home, Daniel." His voice was calm and strong, "You failed your mission." He looked to the side and the smile grew, "We don't need you anymore." By the look on Daniel's face, he didn't like this, he looked scared. Jacob was clearly a part of all this, he had shown that he was an angel. But what did he mean about failing a mission?
