I'm going to start writing in the 1st person so don't be too confused at the sudden change of style. X
Mediocre lights seep their way through my closed eyes into sight, causing me to jolt awake. Liam was in a chair opposite me, inside a new room I've not seen before.
Ropes and duck tape strapped our hands to the chairs, leaving us no escape. Tugging my wrists viciously, I was not successful of slipping them out of the bands. "Psst, Liam?" I hiss, nudging him with my foot cloaked only by a sock. Devin must have taken my shoes.
I kick him aggressively in the shin, attempting to wake him from his nap.
To my surprise, his heavy eyelids flutter open giving me view of his hazel eyes. "August? Where are we?" He yawns, clueless to the fact we were stuck to chairs. The door creeks open as Devin peeps round with a mischievous grin glued to his face. "Took you guys a while." He chuckles, my eyebrows draw together.
He strides in like the cocky little boy that he is into the cell, holding something behind his back."Why are we in here?" Liam finally notices his, bound to the chair, hands causing him to turn in his direction to the right.
"You broke his back. You broke my dads back so now I'm taking his place while he's in hospital. You're going to have to listen to me or I'll hurt you in the worst ways possible." He laughs, staring into my eyes while I stare back. There was no doubt about it, he was sadistic, so is everyone at this residence. We need to come up with a better plan rather then just walking out.
"These ropes are hurting my wrists." I mutter as I feel the scratchy material graze over my skin.
"Too bad baby girl, your going to have to live with it for the rest of the time dads gone." Coming down opposite me, Devin smirks at my disgusted look.I raise my foot to slam it into his face, giving us a bigger distance from each other as he stumbles backwards into Liam's legs. Because I don't have shoes on, the kick didn't hurt him as much as I had hoped, but it outraged him as I feared.
"You don't know how much I want to stab you right now." He musters his thoughts as he climbs back onto his feet, pulling a sharp knife from his jean pocket.
Knowing what could happen next, I gawk in it's direction. He slowly leans in towards me, a devilish grin plastered to his lips. "Get away from me." I command firmly causing him to pause in his stance.
"Alright." He shrugs as he turns with speed and lunges the knife through Liam's right hand.
Screaming in pain, little drops of boiling agony stream down my cheeks as I stare down at my right hand.
The skin on it begin to slice though, as if an invisible knife had dug it's way through. Blood pools at it's surface.
"I'll keep hurting you until you are tamed, you will learn. I'll make you."
Devin yells at my agonised expression then storms out the door, leaving the knife stuck in between Liam's skin.Liam had not felt any pain from the knife since his emotions were controlled and only focusing on me.
Bellows eco within my ears, I realise are coming out from my own lips.Black dots surround me as Liam tries to gain my attention by meeting my eyes. "August you need to calm down, Devin left the knife. I can try and get it out with my mouth." He whispers, or my hearing was dimming as my mind began to spin.
He cups the handle of the knife between his teeth and begins to pull upwards. More muffled bawls fill the atmosphere as he loosens the knifes grip to the arm of his chair. The blade came in contact with the walls of the gash causing me to screech.
Releasing a sigh in bliss, Liam manages to hold the clean knife in his mouth.
He slices through the rope tying his hand to the chair then yanks it out from the tape. He does the same with his other hand.
"August, hang in there. I'll get you out, keep your eyes on m..." He whispers, his voice slowly closing off as he finishes his sentence. He reaches over to my healed hand and frees it.
My head finally gives out and I am consumed by the darkness.

"Look, look! She's waking up!" Liam's frantic voice escalates as I enter reality once again.
Both my wrists are covered in red rashes but are no longer caught in ties.
A doctor is crouched down in front of me as if waiting for my awakening.
Throbbing pains explode from my hand, I remember that Devin had stabbed Liam. It was wrapped neatly in bandages and the pain had died down from before I had fainted."She saved you." Liam smiles while grasping onto my healed hand to comfort me.
"Hello, August. I'm jasmine." She studies my confused face.
"Why are you helping me?" I blurt out without considering the possible reasons."Jeez, the woman saved your skin and that's all you say?" Liam shakes his head with a grin.
"Don't worry, I don't want to hurt you like the others. I'm Definitely against Markindales aim." She hands me a warm smile.
"Why are you working fore them then?" I question, not fully convinced.
"Harry was my friend, he told me he had a plan for the future and that he wanted to show it to me. And now he's threatening my family and is making me stay here over my will." She sighs deeply staring down to the floor."I want to help you escape."
