I look at LaMelo.
Who do I beleive?
LaMelo doesn't seem like he'd do that.
"Mabey it was just a rumor that was spread around for such a long time that people actually started to believe it!" I think to myself...or so I thought.
"That's exactly what it is!" LaMelo says.
"So what's you're actual body count then?" I asked.
LaMelo looks away and he mumbles something to himself.
"Huh, what's that, I couldn't hear you?" I asked not understanding what he said.
"One, Joslyn. My body count is one!" LaMelo says.
Minutes of awkward silence pass, LaMelo and I not saying a word.
"What's yours?" LaMelo asked.
"Huh?" I reply confused.
"What's your body count?"
"One," I reply shaking my head. "We didn't come out here to talk about our body counts!"
"You're right,"
I clear my throat. "So you like me I like you, what now?"
"We keep this thing going? Make this Laslyn ship stay sailing!" LaMelo says smiling at me.
I laugh then I say, "Don't ever say that again!"
LaMelo chuckles. "Laslyn!"
"Stop, if anything, my name would go first!" I laugh and I playfully push his head to the side.
"Fine," LaMelo laughs pushing my head to the side too. "Joelo!"
"That's better!" I giggle.
"Okay but seriously, we need to stop playing with each other Jos," LaMelo says grabbing my hands.
"I don't know why but you make me get butterflies in my stomach when you come around, everytime I see you smile my heart is just filled with joy, when you laugh you make me wanna laugh too!" LaMelo looks up at me and he takes a deep breathe.
I look at him and I start to slowly lean in.
"Hey kids do you want some-" My mom yells from the front door.
Me and LaMelo jump away from each other and blush.
"Oh sorry guys!" My mom says as she closes the front door.
I let out a small laugh and LaMelo does the same.
Another awkward moment in this awkward ass conversation.
"Hey look at that!" LaMelo exclaims pointing at some thing behind me.
I turn around confused.
What's he talking about?
"I don't see anythi-"
LaMelo smashes his lips onto mine and I sit there in shock.
After a few seconds, LaMelo pulls away... I'm guessing he pulled away because I didn't kiss him back.
I look at him in shock.
"LaMelo," I blush.
LaMelo and I don't say anything and we just sit there.
Do something Joslyn, show him you like him!
He's clearly having his doubts.
I take in a deep breathe and I grab LaMelo's chin making him look at me.
If this were a movie this would be the part where the two people stare deep into each others eyes and then fireworks go off as they kiss.
I close my eyes and I start to lean in.
I feel LaMelo do the same.
When his lips touch mine, for some reason this particular kiss feels different from the rest of our kisses.
It feels more real...
