Sasodei- Safe and Sound

The river

Deidara and Itachi smoothly ran through the forest.

Deidara's POV

Jeez why did Itachi not wanna run? Ugh, he can be so lazy sometimes.

And why'd Zetsu say only find the nine tails? Why can't we take him down?

Third POV

The two stayed quiet as they continued running until the dim witted Deidara realized it was sundown.

"Deidara" said Itachi.

"Hm?"

"Let's go find a place to spend the night" said Itachi.

"Psh. You're just like Danna you always wanna go to bed early" said Deidara.

Itachi rolled his eyes.

"How about down there?" asked Itachi pointing to a small open space near a river.

"There's a water source near it" he said.

"Fine" complained Deidara.

Deidara and Itachi got down from the trees and took one blanket each to put on the ground and one to cover themselves if they got cold.

Itachi places his blanket neatly on the floor and lied down.

"What? You're going to bed already?" asked Deidara.

Itachi sighed quietly as he shifted to the side facing away from Deidara, shivering.

"You cold Itachi?" asked Deidara.

"Yeah" he whispered.

Deidara gave Itachi his blanket, by it didn't really make much of a difference to Itachi. His lack of warmth was still present.

Deidara had fallen asleep quickly, despite him saying about how early Itachi was going to bed, but even after all the hours earlier he had got in bed, he'd still not fallen asleep.

Itachi got up and headed towards the river. He touched the water or check its temperature and he flinched at how freezing cold it was.

He got up, going back to bed but then he stopped.

He started swaying and fell to the ground.

Deidara got up pretty early, only to find Itachi wasn't in his bed.

"Itachi where are you?" called Deidara.

He headed over the river, to find a small almost  completely submerged into the water figure. He then saw who that figure was. It was Itachi.

Itachi was white in the face. He was hypothermic and "kinda" drowned.

Deidara didn't know what to do. Or how to do what he needed to do.

Suddenly, a few ANBU appeared.

"Hand over the boy or ill kill you along with him" said one of the ANBU.

Deidara clutched Itachi in his arms and refused to hand him over. Deidara froze and one of the ANBU hurled a Kunai at him. Then, someone appeared in front of Deidara.

It was Sasori.
