On Repeat

I do not remember having any other dream,
It has just been the same one on repeat.
The doctors called them nightmares or night terrors,
But the only thing that really helps is when I tell my self.

It was just another dream on repeat.
As I wake up trembling in a cold sweat,
I calmly said to myself,
It was a dream on repeat.

Some nights are worse,
I'll wake up out of bed or even down the hall,
I was told that some nights I would even scream,
But I don't remember anything.

I dread the time and anxiety,
My worries bouncing off the walls,
I have tried everything more than once.
Get help they said well I have time and time again!

They say you will forget this eventually,
Well when is that time?
Who do I ask about that?
I finally cave in and try to sleep once again.

I toss and turn and try to wake up,
When I'm about to die I sit up in my bed,
I was covered in cold sweat when I laid back down,
It was just another dream on repeat.
