Chapter 10

Sanjana's POV

The sun had already set. I couldn't see anything. I was surrounded by absolute darkness. I sat down on my knees devastated. My tears wouldn't stop, I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs, I needed a comfort,an assurance but I was all alone in the dark with Kirti somewhere who knows may be in grave danger. That's when I felt a hand on my shoulder...

I thought it would be Kirti safe and sound but when I turned around I fell at his feet weeping so badly, I've never been so relieved in my life. He lifted me up, wiped my tears and said,"I've been looking for you. Why did you come here?" "Kirti's idea...I couldn't let her walk into the jungle unknowingly so I had to follow her but then she wandered off to somewhere and I was so scared", I said in one breathe. "Okay! Come let's find her. She must here only. But I'll warn you maiya is very mad and worried about you, so we should hurry up and go back home". He held my hand, I felt warm and safe and brave with him by my side. "I feel good too...",he said suddenly. My heart raced with my cheecks colouring themselves with red colour. O god Kirti would have teased me so much...if she was here. Now I'm even ready to put up with your teasing please Kirti come back...

Kirti's POV

I was so happy about helping maiya and now I'm so lost. It's so dark here I can't even see 2 feet in front of me. I should have listened to Sanjana. Oh god! Sanjana must have been worried about me and when she finds me she'll literally kill me. First I have to find her but I'm so exhausted, hungry and thirsty a little rest wouldn't mind. So I sat down with this huge rock as a support to lean back.

They say an idle mind is a home to devil well they are one hundred percent true. My mind turned into Mr. Negative. I was thinking about what if I die here mymind flashed back my entire life. It wasn't like I had a happy childhood but I was content and happy to receive and experience mother's love in a very long time. If I had final messages for all the people in my life they would be

Mom: I'm so sorry for all the struggles you had to go through and me being a brat all the time didn't added more worries for you to handle

Dad: I have hated you all my life because of the things you have done but hey they say you shouldn't have any grudges before dying so I forgive you...

Sanjana: I love you sister. You have been the hope, a ray of light in my miserable life. With you being by my side constantly supporting and encouraging me I don't have enough to repay you back but all I can say is I'm lucky to have you as my sister...

I felt something wet on my cheecks, it supprised me so much. I've never cried no matter how worse matters became, I always substituted humor in place of my pain and fear...

Suddenly I heard a roaring sound getting louder and louder I decided not to make any movements but then I accidentally broke a twig with my hand and a tiger jumped in front of me out of the bushes and was stairing at me. My body froze in terror and my heart skipped a beat...

Sanjana's POV

As we were searching, we heard roars coming from a particular direction. Kanha said to follow the roar, I didn't understand why he was running towards danger but I trusted him so I followed him. My mouth hung open and had goosebumbs all over when I saw that tiger in front of Kirti...
