Kirti's POV
Seeing Sanjana and Kanha heading outside a great sense of relief spread in my heart. Sanjana always thought of others first so she never had time to take care of herself. Now seeing her enjoying herself here with him makes me feel happy for her. I hope she never gets separated from him.
Suddenly Krishna appears beside her. He says,"You know I always was and will be with her in her heart . I was never away from her, but now it's time to say goodbye, I may not be with her physically but I'll be with her all the time. Kirti was shocked all she could say was,"H-How? W-Why?". Krishna replied,"It's time for you to go home...""But we just spent a few days that's all and now we have to leave?",Kirti asked.
How can this happen? after so much we can't just go it's too much to take. What will happen to Sanjana she won't be able to handle the pain of going away from him. She just started to have a great life and now it will be taken from her?
Krishna understood all the feelings going through Kirti's mind. He gently replied,"Sanjana is more strong than you realize and you don't belong in this timeline ,you have to go back continue on with your life." "How am I suppose to tell her that?",Kirti asked with tears in her eyes. "You don't have to I will and don't worry about her she'll be fine, you both will be",Krishna said wiping tears from her face,"You have to come near the old mango tree when the sun sets down".
Meanwhile, Sanjana was in the Rasoi ghar with Maiya. Krishna came in, rubed his hands together and asked playfully,"So what do we have in dinner tonight?" "Why don't you ask Sanjana she will tell you", Maiya said teasingly. Sanjana said half smiling to herself,"Nothing's special just the usual". "What? I want something special",Krishna pouted," Maiya, if you don't mind, can I borrow Sanjana for a little while"."And why does my son wants to borrow her, may I know?", Maiya said. Krishna and Sanjana's cheeks flushed. Seeing them she smirked,"Fine go take her but be back before the sun sets down". Krishna held Sanjana's hand and dragged her outside under a big old mango tree.
Sanjana's POV
He brought me under this tree. I couldn't be happier to spend some more time with him. I had to relish what I have untill it all disappears.
"So what do you want to talk about?", I asked. "I just want to spend my time with my girlfriend", he said calmly."Girl- girlfriend? I'm not you girlfriend", I said trying to hide my red cheeks. Krishna chuckled,"You agree or disagree facts are not going to change". He brought out his flute and blew his first note. The sound resonated in the air, it washed over me lifting me off. It sounded like anklets at first but then the tune started to play. It was mesmerizing. My feet danced to the tune and a laugh escaped from my lips unknown to me. I forget everything about my surroundings about myself. What I felt was absolute joy, no worries, no sadness, I had never felt this way. There was always a tinge of sadness even in my happiest moment but this tune took everything away from me.He stopped playing and walked towards me. He extended his hand,"Would you dance with me?". I put my hand in his and there was a spark of electricity all my hairs stood up,"There is no music how will we dance?", I said as I giggled. "Silence is also a kind of music. It has it's own beat if you listened carefully".
He was right. It was very peaceful and calmed everything around me even my heart which was beating 10 times more faster. We danced hand in hand, he twirled me around and soon enough I was in his arms. Tears of happiness trickled from my eyes. It was my happiest moment of my life. There was nothing more I could ever wish in this life ever.
It was getting dark now the sun was slowly turning red ready to set. It was the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen. He sat on a rock under the tree and I sat down on the ground at his foot. It seemed like the perfect place for me. "Do you want to ask me something?", He asked. "Yes", I said,"Is this all a dream?". He laughed and I couldn't stop a smile sprouting on my face. He said,"Nope it's not a dream at all. I'm right here see". He made me touch his hand. "Krishna, I want to serve you for all eternity. How am I supposed to do it?", I said as my eyes watered. "Anything you do for me will be considered as your service to me dear. I consider even the services you do mentally. All you need to do is surrender. Carry me with you in life and I will carry you through life. Me being physically around or not won't matter",he said as he lifted my chin up. I looked up at his eyes, they shone with a sparkle. I couldn't find words in my mouth. It was like I was drained of everything. Every ounce of me was taken away from me. I knew that I no longer belonged to myself. I was his.
"So what's next for me? I can't stay here forever I know that", I asked. I finally understood his purpose of him bringing me here. "You have to go back, continue with you life. You just have to walk the path I have chosen for you, the rest will be taken care of. But aren't you sad? I no longer will be with you", he asked. "You will always be with me. I know that now. I may not be able to see you as I am now but I now that you'll always reside in my heart. I would know where to find you. I'll never be alone",I said as my eyes dripped. The sun was almost touching the mountains it would have been the most breathtaking scenery ever but it was nothing compared to his beauty. His complexion, his lips, his smile, his beautiful lotus eyes. I drank his beauty as much as I can from my eyes. "Sanjana", he said softly,"You won't be able to remember me. It will be painful for you. I have to take this memory from you but I can promise you we will meet again and trust me it will last forever after that". "I understand, I may not be able to remember our moments here but my heart will always remember you Kanha", I said. He smiled and that was enough for me. My wish had finally came true.
Kirti came closer as the sun completely got immersed. She had tears in her eyes too but I put my hand on her shoulder and comforted her. She said,"And I thought you will need me for comfort but here instead I need you". "What are you talking about? We will always need each other",I said trying to lift her up. She cracked a smile. I took one final look at the cowherd who once introduced himself as the stealer of hearts which indeed he was. I nodded in his direction and I closed my eyes.
I was back in my balcony with Kirti right next to me. We had finally witnessed the shooting star. Kirti said,"I feel weird like I'm missing something important". I myself felt the same way. I didn't knew how to answer her. I stayed quite. "Hey, you okay?", She asked. I replied,"Honestly I don't know but yeah I'll be fine eventually. Don't worry. Why don't you head downstairs my mother must have made dinner. Give me a moment and I'll join you". "Sure. Whatever you need", she said as she went inside the house. Unknown to myself I felt something wet and cold on my cheeks. When I touched it I realized I was crying for some reason. I was on the verge of breaking down. My chest was paining like a hundred needles were piercing my heart but then a cold breeze blew and caressed my cheeks. I felt the pain cease to exist and I started smiling to myself. I was going to be fine as he is always going to be with me through my journey and I will meet him someday...
