CHORUS
"Baby, I'm home!" Karlie shouts as she enters her home, hanging her coat on the coat rack. Tiffany Swift-Kloss, their first born child runs into Karlie as she hears her voice, her little arms are wide open. Karlie bends down to lift her child into her arms, kissing the 4 year old in her cheeks.
"Momma!" Tiffany exclaims, her small hands pushing Karlie's face to stop the attack.
"I miss youuu," Karlie whines, holding Tiffany's hands to prevent her from pushing Karlie.
Taylor immediately joins Karlie and her daughter in the foyer, holding their 1 year-old baby boy: Kristopher Swift-Kloss. Tiffany wiggles out Karlie's grasp in which Karlie obliged, placing the girl back to the ground. The little miniature of Taylor runs back into the living room, not having any interest at Karlie anymore.
"Why is she like that?" Karlie laughs after she pecks Taylor's lips in lieu of greeting.
"She's busy with her new computer, Karlie. That's what you get for introducing her to technology at such an early age," Taylor says darkly. Karlie rolls her eyes, taking Kristopher from Taylor. She kisses the boy's head, making him giggle. His big green eyes stares right back at Karlie, and when his mother sticks her tongue out and crosses her eyes, Kristopher erupts into laughter.
"I'm teaching her how to code. She's actually good at it," Karlie shrugs as she continues making funny faces to make her son laugh. Taylor looks at the pair in awe, her heart swelling at the sight.
"Is she? All she did is smash the keyboard and play dress up. Is that even coding?" Taylor counters, "and oh, she locked herself up in her bedroom when I told her to shut the computer off because she's been using it for hours. She didn't get out until I baked her cookies and let her play once again. I swear, Karlie you're spoiling her! I hope you won't do the same mistakes to Kristopher," Taylor says.
"Oh please, don't blame me for being a cool mom," Karlie smirks as she head down the kitchen. She places Kristopher on his walker, making him dash off towards the living room to join his sister. Taylor rolls her eyes at Karlie's remark. Karlie wraps her arms on Taylor's waist, pulling her closer. "I love you," she whispers.
"I love you, too," Taylor replies. Karlie takes Taylor's hand and lifts it, indicating for a spin in which Taylor gracefully did.
Marriage was tough for the couple. Taylor decided to retire from her songwriting when she got pregnant with Tiffany while Karlie kept her job. She wanted to take care of her daughter instead of hiring a nanny.
3 years after, Taylor thinks that they have another baby. Karlie didn't sign any contract to be with Taylor during her second pregnancy. She was also there when Kristopher was born, and Taylor recognized how similar his eyes is to Karlie's. Now that they had their miniature version of themselves running around their home, Karlie thought that she accomplished a dream that she thought she'd never had again: it was her dream to start a family with Taylor.
---
Waking up in Karlie's arms has been Taylor's favorite reminder to thank God every morning. The beating of Karlie's heart and her serene expression never fails to make Taylor breathless. It's became a constant reminder of what they went through after all these years.
The blue eyed girl carefully untangles her limbs out of Karlie, trying not to wake the sleeping girl up. Karlie mumbles an incoherent set of words when Taylor successfully got up, her arms stretching to find the warmth of Taylor's body. Soon, she gave up and buried her face into her pillow again. Taylor smiles lovingly at her wife and heads downstairs to prepare breakfast for her family.
An hour later, Karlie finally joins Taylor in the kitchen, carrying little Kristopher in her grasp. Tiffany is already stuffing her face with her pancake, chocolate syrup dripping down her chin while Taylor sits beside her, looking amused and pissed at the same time. Karlie laughs at her wife's face as she shakes her head. Taylor rolls her eyes as she wipes Tiffany's chin, scolding her in the process. Tiffany, being the good girl that she is, slams her fork in the plate before running upstairs, leaving Taylor stunned.
"Wow," Karlie breathes as she puts Kristopher in his blue high chair booster.
"I can't believe she turned out to be a brat," Taylor groans as she buries her face in her hands.
"She got your genes, I guess," Karlie jokes. Taylor slaps her arms as a response.
"You're spoiling her too much, Karlie. Fix this mess," Taylor stands up to retrieve Kristopher's baby food on the shelves.
"Me? What? Isn't she mad at you?"
"I'm tired of her acting like that. You're her favorite mom, anyway," Taylor mocks.
"Yeah, whatever," Karlie stands up.
Karlie cracks her daughter's bedroom door open, revealing a short haired curly blonde with a pair of frustrated blue eyes staring back at her. Karlie smiles at Tiffany and sits at the edge of the bed.
"Mama's upset, Tif," Karlie begins. She strokes her daughter's hair soothingly, "you have to say sorry."
"Why would I?" Tiffany snaps.
"Okay, that's not a response that I was expecting," Karlie glares at her daughter. "Do you think she likes what you just did?"
"She called for it!" Tiffany reasons.
"She has the reason to! And I swear if you keep on acting like that, forget about doll that I promised," Karlie smirks as her daughter's face fall.
"I-" Tiffany stutters, "Ugh fine."
"Please stop acting like that," Karlie shakes her head. "Your mama just wants the best for you, you understand? We don't want her crying over you once again, do we?"
"I'm sorry," Tiffany sighs, now looking guilty.
"Apology accepted. Now, go hug and apologize to your mama," Karlie orders. Tiffany gets into her feet and slowly walks downstairs. Karlie follows behind.
Tiffany hugs Taylor's legs, crying. Taylor looks down at her daughter and eyes Karlie, her blue eyes are silently asking her what happened. Karlie sucks her upper lip to keep herself from laughing as response to Taylor's questioning stare.
"I'm so sorry mama," Tiffany cries. Taylor lifts her daughter in her arms, kissing the tears on her cheeks.
"It's alright, princess. I forgive you," Taylor coos, tucking a few strands of Tiffany's hair out of her face. The little girl buries her face in the crook of Taylor's neck. Taylor gives Karlie a meaningful look, in which Karlie immediately understands. She grabs Kristopher along with his food and heads their way to the porch.
Tiffany sits in Taylor's lap, still clinging into her while Kristopher sits on Karlie's. The model feeds her son, making funny faces to get him to laugh in order for her to shove a spoonful of food into his mouth.
"You're better than that," Taylor shakes her head at Karlie's action.
"Shut up, I'm doing nothing," Karlie says as she shoves another food into Kristopher's mouth.
"If he chokes, I'll see you in court," Taylor says darkly.
Karlie stops what she's doing, and gives her wife an unimpressed glare.
"You're going to sue me because I'm not feeding our son the way that you want me to?" Karlie questions.
"No, I'll sue you if you killed me him because you were feeding him the wrong way," Taylor replies.
Tiffany gets out of Taylor's lap, probably heading into the living room to watch an episode of Spongebob.
Karlie laughs at her wife incredulously.
"Drama queen," Karlie teases.
"Whatever," Taylor says, fake annoyance on her voice. She smiles when Kristopher starts to laugh when Karlie tickles his little tummy.
"I love you, little man," Karlie rubs her nose into the baby's stomach, making him laugh even louder.
"I could do this forever," Taylor thought to herself as she watches her wife goof with her son.
