Chpt # 16 The Prize

"ASH!!"

"NOT THE KID!! NOT THE KIDS!!"

The man who was beside Ash pierced his knife into Ash's abdomen with no hesitation.

"AK-...I-I'm scared..." Ash looked at his own blood and at Louisa in fear.

"NO!! LET HIM GO!!" Louisa shouted and wiggled once more.

"This boy is so precious huh? Hit him once more," Edward ordered.

"No! Let go off me!!" Ash shouted.

He was struck again in the abdomen just beside his other wound. The man painfully removed his knife and Ash fell unto his knees.

  "NOOO!!! NO!! NOOO!!"

"Look at you, so helpless and so weak, never thought I'd see like this," Edward said as he stared at Louisa who wasn't able to hold back her tears.

He stood and walked towards the boy as Louisa fell down to the ground sobbing.

She was reaching her limit.

"Hit him once more," Edward ordered.

"Haven't you have enough?!" Yuki cried.

"You think I'll have pity?" he asked.

"Stop!! Please!! Brother!!" Emma cried out as she continued to thrash around and tried to escape. 

"HA! Screw you!! Hit him already!!" Edward laughed

With a little of hesitant this time, the man grabbed hold of Ash's shoulder as he tried to escape his grasp.

"Let go of me!! L-Louisa!! Help!!" he wriggled around in pain while tears  poured out from his eyes.

Just as Louisa heard her name, it felt like a child calling for it's mom's shield or a younger sibling asking for protection from their sister. 

She immediately looked up, her instincts were pushing in but just as when she saw the man pierced his knife once more in Ash's body. She reached her limit

Blood splattered on the ground, and shouts of pain ringed around the room. She saw the look on his face, the pain and the fear. 

Her breathing quickened and her  heart beat ran fast. A flashback of the past made her too silent to shout in horror and then she then lost it.

She tore the ropes that tied her with her own hands and an aura of great strength awakened inside of her. She couldn't feel that same pain that rushed through her head, for she was unconscious.

Everyone was shock, terrified. As if a wild beast has escaped from it's cage. Before Edward could have reacted or even turned around, Louisa took out a dagger that was well hidden under her clothing and in a swift movement she grabbed Edward's neck from behind. She stabbed the right upper quadrant of his stomach and pulled him down despite his height.

Before Edward could have processed the moment in action, his body has already fallen down and Louisa was on top of him.

"Y-you suddenly got stronger-" 

Edward suddenly stopped when he saw Louisa's eyes. Her eyes were dull as if she was dead.

In the background, Yuki and Romeo knew what was happening and Schatten Catzen were completely shouting Louisa's name. Eren, Historia and the people outside the gang , were too confused to even move.

"Louisa!! WAKE UP!!"

"WHAT'S GOING ON??!" Eren asked.

"Onee-chan's...unconscious..." Emma replied in fear.

Eren and Historia looked at each other in confusion.
