MY BACKSTORY (in a more detailed version)

A 16 years old teenage boy had his day off. He and his comrades only had one day to visit their families and enjoy themselves before they continue their training once again for one more year.

He was excited even though it wasn't noticeable . He heard the news that he's mother gave birth to a little sister weeks ago and he couldn't wait to see her. Although his newly born little sister came from his stepfather,he didn't care and  regardless how much he dislikes his stepfather.

He stood in front of the door and he knocked three times unto the old wooden board. The door immediately opened and to see an old familiar face. It was his stepfather.

"I'm home," he smiled slightly to his stepdad.

"Son? What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be in the trainee corps? Three years isn't yet over right?" his step dad asked who was shocked to see him.

"Who's on the door darling? Is it the babysitter?" asked a female voice.

"It's your son," his brunette stepfather chuckled as he made way for the teenage boy to come in.

"What??" the mother asked, you could hear a chair being pushed away immediately and heels of sandals tapping the floor quickly towards the front door.

"Honey? How come your here?" the mother smiled with joy and shock.

"It's my day off, so I came home," he replied as he stares at the baby his mother was carrying.

"I never thought you trainees could even get a day off," said his step father who was leaning on the wall.

"I never thought either, it was unexpected, but at least...I could meet my new little sister that I've heard of," he walked closer to his mother to get a better look of his little sister.

"Ahh, her name's Liyah-" before she could continue, the mother's son carried the baby in a quick notice.

"Such an impatient boy aren't you?" his mother and stepfather laughed.

"Liyah...it suits her..." he answered and smiled at his sleeping baby brunette sister. Then, the baby's eyes fluttered open to reveal green emerald eyes.

"Would you look at that, she got your eyes mom," he looked at his mother's eyes and then noticed her attire.

"Aren't you dressed up?" he said and looked at his stepfather as well who was also wearing a outing attire.

"Ah, don't you remember? It's our anniversary," the mother smiled and wrapped her arms unto her husband's arm.

"Ahh, I see..." he replied.

"But we thought to cancel our date because it seems that the babysitter wont even arrive to take care of little Liyah," the stepfather answered.

"How about I take care of her?" asked the son.

"What?" the both asked confused.

"I only have one day to take a break, and it would be a waste for what you have prepared for this day," said the son as he slowly cradled the baby.
