Chapter 1 - Waking Up

"Hey, are you alright?" A voice echoes through the void I lay in.

I open my eyes slowly to receive a stinge from a blinding light. I can feel the cold hard ground beneath my clothed back as it soothes the aches and throbs of agony from my uncomfortable position. I move my numb fingers slightly, trying to regain some form of sensation to them. My mouth feels dry and scratchy as I swallow down the saliva that is scarce.

I try to reopen my eyes. This time I'm braced for the incoming light and can face it with ease. What I see first is the open sky. Its been so long since I last say the sky above. I never thought I'd be so happy to see that void of blue.

"Hello?" A voice says again. A woman's voice by the sounds of it.

I look up slightly to inspect a lady in front of me. She moves closer, blocking the sun. The first thing I notice is her golden blonde hair as it shines brightly. Next, I note her gorgeous chocolate-brown eyes. Her skin is fair and rosy, her lips a pale pink. This lady's figure is thin and busty, while her clothing choice accentuates this for all eyes to see. She's kneeling over me with worried eyes, examining my condition as I lay still.

"...Y-yes," I choke out, feeling the train on my unused vocal cords. "Yes, I think so...But, I can't move the way I want to..."

"Oh gods, are you hurt?! Where is the pain?" The woman yells. I wince slightly at her volume.

"Yes..." I try to raise my arm to point to the pain, but I grimace as the burning and aching sensation rushes to it. "...Everywhere."

The woman starts to panic as people around start to stop and stare. I look around to them all before a small glint of lite shines in my eye. I move my eyes in the direction of the light and notice a pouch with several keys just pocking out, strapped to the blonde's side.

"Y-your a... celestial mage, aren't you?" I ask.

She looks at me then in the direction of my line of sight.

"Yes, I am," she says.

"...Is there a spirit in your possession that can help me?..."

"Maybe? I can try and see." She hurriedly stands up and fiddles frantically around in the small pocket, muttering to herself all the while. "... I know Tauras would have the strength to lift her, but knowing him, his mind will wander to other things. Leo's a close second to that too...uh-hu!" Finally, she produces a small golden key the size of her middle finger. She places her two feet over shoulder-width apart and raises the key high. "Open, gate of the twins, Gemini!"

A flash of light later and two, small, blue creatures float in front of her.

"Piri-Piri." They chant in unison. They spin once around in a circle before they focus in on their master.

"I need your help," the mage says. "I need you to change into me and help carry this girl."

I look over to the blonde with a questioning stare. I don't believe I have ever seen a celestial spirit before, so this is quite intriguing. I turn my head back to the two creatures, and the moment I lay my eyes on them, there is an exact replica of the blonde lady standing on the other side of me.

I gaze at them with wonder as the doppelgangers work in unison to remove my body from the ground. One of them takes hold of my legs, and the other grabs my shoulders. The movement of my body rising sends shivers and pain down my spine.

"Where will we take her?" Gemini asks.

"Head for the guild. It's the best option we have for her-"

Soon, the sound of the young lady's panicked voice fades away as I fall unconscious from the pressure on my body.
