The following day was Luciano's turn to get a day out with you. He was anxious and didn't want to leave the house at first, but you managed to convince him with promises of gelato before returning home. He got dressed rather quickly and waited for you in the car outside. Instead of going to Venice like you had with Flavio, you decided to go to Florence instead. He seemed pleased by your choice of location.
During the car ride there, the two of you communicated via text messages since you couldn't talk. He'd give you verbal answers, however. It was idle chit chat to pass the time, and the topics consisted of everything and nothing. Of course, there were always times when the two of you couldn't think of anything to talk about, so you sat in awkward silence as the chauffeur drove. Suddenly, a question came to Luciano's mind after about a half hour of silence.
"Why did you choose to take Flavio out before me?" he inquired.
You looked at him for a moment before texting him your response. "He's easier to deal with compared to you. Plus, you did almost try to kill me the other day in Venice, so there's that."
His left eye twitched. "Excuse you? He's easier to deal with? What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I mean that he's not as much of an ass and can behave himself."
"I can behave myself!"
"Clearly not. Your solution to conflict is to fight first, ask questions later. That doesn't get you anywhere in normal society. Yes, maybe that works in the Mafia, but not in everyday life. You need to learn to control your temper and impulses if you want to have any hope in finding a girl that would want to be with you."
He huffed and crossed his arms across his chest. He couldn't believe that you were telling him how to act. There were plenty of girls who would want to be with him as he was now. Granted that those girls probably only wanted to be with him for his wealth and not his personality, but that didn't matter... Okay, it mattered a lot to him, but he wouldn't tell you that you were right even though his silence conveyed it. You spent the rest of the ride in silence. Once in Florence, you made plans to meet back with the chauffeur at nine at night. To start your little day trip, you asked if the two of you could go to the Galleria dell'Accademia.
"You want to see David, don't you?" he asked.
You nodded and he sighed. He had no choice but to take you. After all, he still had feelings for you and only had a short amount of time to woo you. That also meant controlling his temper today. Luciano took one of your hands in his and began walking with you towards the art gallery. You offered him a smile, which he returned. At the gallery, you raced over to see Michelangelo's original David sculpture. Luciano smiled from behind you as you snapped some pictures with your phone's camera.
"Flavio told me last night about how much you liked art."
You turned back and smiled at him before sending him a text. "It's a neat way of expressing emotions without having to speak. Each piece tells a unique story that no one else can, and I find that fascinating. Don't you?"
He moved to stand right next to you as you turned back to the artwork. "No, no. I agree. Art is a good why to express what you feel. I used to paint in my teen years, you know?"
"You did?"
"Mhm. A lot of the artwork hanging around the mansion is my own. Any of them that don't have a plaque underneath are mine."
