The taxi ride was as tense as ever when you finally reached Venice. Kuro hadn't said one word to you the entire time, which you considered both a good and bad thing. He probably knew it was you and had told Luciano of your whereabouts already. Either way, you felt like Luciano would appear right in front of you at any given moment with that harsh, angry glare etched on his face. You knew what would most likely happen after you were brought back to the mansion, but you didn't want to think about it.

The vehicle soon stopped. You took notice of the street sign and realized you were a few blocks away from the villa you rented. The taxi driver turned around and talk each of you how much it would cost you with the total already split in half. You pulled out the amount of euros you owed and handed it to him before climbing out of the cab with your duffel bag, signing a quick and subtle thank you to the driver from outside the vehicle. To throw off Kuro, you walked in the opposite direction of the villa for the time being. You glanced behind you after awhile to check if you were being followed, which you weren't. A silent sigh was ripped from your mouth as you made a left turn at an intersection to turn yourself around.

Once at the quaint little villa, you climbed in through the back window that had been left open. You made your way up the stairs to the second floor and opened the door to the bedroom. You spotted your suitcase exactly where you left it by the dresser and smiled, happy that all your belongings were still there. You walked to it and opened it on the floor, grabbing your passport and any other important paperwork you'd need to get in and out of the country as well as some spare clothing to change in and out of. Just as you were closing up your duffel bag, you heard the door slam behind you. Dread coursed through your body as you slowly turned around.

There stood Luciano, that glare you predicted mysteriously missing from his visage. Instead, he looked rather calm, but that knife twirling he was doing with a throwing knife said otherwise. You gulped and attempted to distance yourself further by backing yourself up against the wall. He followed with long, quick strides, easily meeting you. Your back pressed against a window, and your fingers curled under the lip of the thin bar that assisted in lifting the window. Your eyes never left Luciano's form however. You couldn't afford to miss a single movement of his. Speaking of Luciano, he stood about a foot and a half away from you, the knife still twirling in his hand.

"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" he said in a low tone, a malicious glint playing within his magenta orbs. "You thought you could just sneak out under the commotion of the party? Did you think I wouldn't have pursued you? Did you really believe that you could just leave the country without knowing?"

You didn't respond as all your deep seated fears began to claw at your mind as your fight or flight instincts slowly kicked in. Luciano wasn't thrilled with the lack of reaction from you. He stepped forward with a growl and gripped you by your jaw.

"I have eyes everywhere, (y/n). There was no possible way of escaping. While I commend you on your efforts thus far, you shouldn't have come directly here. Don't you think I would have calculated all the possibilities of our little escapade? The odds of you escaping were high because I couldn't read you like I can others. If I would have taken your suitcase back to the mansion with me, you would have had a much easier time leaving the country. Leaving it behind bought me time of you managed to leave since you couldn't legally travel without this."

He held up your passport between his index and middle fingers off to the side but near enough so that it was within your line of sight. You reached out to grab it from him, but he tossed it over his shoulder. How had he even gotten his hands on it? You had put it in your bag... Unless he cut it out with his knife while he was talking.

Luciano grabbed your outstretched arm by your wrist and pinned it against the window as he body blocked you against part of both the window and the wall. The force he used to push you all the way back against it nearly knocked the wind out of you. He used that time to press the knife against your neck. You winced and made a facial expression somewhere between mild discomfort and fear. Luciano noticed easily, his eyebrows creasing above his eyes but a wicked smirk stretching across his face. He fed off of this sort of thing since he was well known to be sadistic in the mafia world.

"You have two options, gattina... You can either come with me peacefully back to my home or..." He trailed off as he pressed the blade of the knife further into your neck. "You can try to run again, and I can kill you... Choose wisely for it may be the last decision you ever make..."

Luciano let go of your wrist and moved the knife away. He looked at you expectantly, waiting for his answer. Your hands were shaking horribly as you watched him start to toss the knife up in the air slightly and catch it after it had completed a single flip. You knew you wouldn't be able to sign to him and you definitely wouldn't be able to write with your trembling hands. He began to tap his foot impatiently, his nerves already shot.

"Well? What have you decided?" he growled.

        You pointed to yourself.

        "You."

        Then you pointed to him.

        "And me."

You made a walking motion with two of your fingers, then drew the outline of a house in the air.

"Go home. You'll come with me then with no struggle. Is that what you're saying?"

You looked down in defeat. The grin had returned to Luciano's face as he stepped towards you again. He then tilted your chin up.

"You made the right decision. Come. I must get you back before my brother figures out what happened. I don't want to deal with his bitchiness."

You looked down again once he let go of your chin and took your hand in his. He instructed you to leave everything in the room except for the money you had stolen. He took that and placed it in his pocket before leading you out of the villa and out to a car that was waiting. Kuro stood next to it on the front passenger seat side, phone in hand. You refused to look at him as Luciano opened the back door and pushed you inside. You nearly hit your head on the door on the other side but managed to catch yourself. Luciano then got in next to you, Kuro then getting in in the front. The driver looked back at Luciano through the rear view mirror as if asking for orders.

        "Drive us home."

The driver nodded and started to head back to where the mansion was. You sat quietly and as far away from Luciano as you could. The knife was still in his hand, but he had switched back to twirling it. You were terrified that he would turn on you and stab you during the car ride, then drop your body off in a ditch somewhere. The aura that radiated off of him at the moment could kill someone itself if they got too close. You attempted to ignore it and take a nap to distract yourself. That nap was soon interrupted as Luciano woke you up as the car approached the estate. The Italian then noticed something that made him himself look fearful for a change. There was a car you hadn't seen before in the driveway by the stairs, and judging by the look on Luciano's face, it was someone he knew all too well. He muttered something to himself in Italian.

        "This ought to be fun...."

DreamsForDays here! We have new characters coming in once again! Wonder who it could be? Perhaps another "friend"? You'll have to find out next time! I'd also like to apologize for the messed up update schedule lately. My place of employment just reopened a few weeks ago, and my schedule changes from week to week. It's consumed so much of my time that I forget to update on time or that I have to work during the time of which I usually upload a new chapter. Today is no different, so if I ever upload before my set time, I usually have to go to work before then. Anyway, enough about me and my excuses. Here are the translations.
