Last Goodbyes

*hey how you guys liking it so far? I mean as long as you leave thinking "meh?" Is enough for me so let's get to it lol.*

Red eyes opened to the intruding rays of the sunlight, the red orbs danced around confused but soon fell to sadness from the visions of its night's events. The orbs occupant wished the masked nin was still with her but she knew he was gone like everything else. Naru shook away her dark thoughts and dressed to visit Mikoto and her son Sasuke. Naru decided to wear a burgundy sweater with ebony jeans and her black combat boots. She stared at herself in the mirror of her vanity seeing the faces of her lost parents as she neatly brushed her hair. She left her hair down for once and left for the hospital through her balcony.

Naru enjoyed the chill in the air on the way to the dreadful hospital avoiding the villagers with ease. However she was puzzled by the surprised looks thrown her way by the waiting patients and staff members in the waiting room of the hospital.
"I've come to visit Mikoto Uchiha and her son Sasuke Uchiha." She voiced in a swift command.
"O-of course N-naru-sama!" Squeaked the man behind the counter handing her two slips of two room numbers and the names of the occupants as well as the code to enter.
"Thank you, good day." Politely chimed the royal Vampire stepping into the doors to get to the two people she saved. Naru decided to visit Mikoto first since she was in a much worse state than Sasuke.
She knocked on the door to let anyone know of her presence before entering the code to come in.
The nurse checking Mikoto's vitals practically crapped her pants at the site of the vampire princess.
Mikoto how ever looked surprised yet pleased.
"Is she able to speak or was the damage to great to her vocal cords?" Naru Asked the nurse looking at her making her crap more.
"Uhhh no she can speak but in a whisper Naru-sama." Shakily said the woman slowly stepping away in embarrassment. Naru raised her elegant brow in question but deciding she didn't care she turned to Mikoto. "How are you feeling?" Politely Asked the white haired girl sitting by the woman.
"I....ve....been....better." Mikoto whispered.
"I deeply apologize for what has happened to your clan and family." Naru Said bowing her head to show  she truly felt sorry. Mikoto Smiled at her as if she hadn't smiled in years and gently took her hand.
"It's....okay....you saved...me...and....my son." Mikoto squeezed her hand in deep gratitude.
"But I couldn't save anyone else...." Naru Sadly said looking away in shame.
"No... but...at least....Sasuke...won't...be....alone." Naru Smiled at the nice woman and her kind words.
"If I may....ask a rather insensitive question?" Mikoto's eyes widened at how impressive the girl's manners were and nodded her head Yes knowing what the question would be about.
"Why did...Itachi do it?" Naru Asked with grief shining through her eyes.
"My..husband was...planning...to over...through Konoha....and....take....the....Hokage's power....he was....ordered to...do...this....he...was....only....allowed to...spare Sasuke." Roughly explained the hurt woman.
Naru's eyes widened and she quickly stood up alert.
"Lady Mikoto I must check on Sasuke!" Naru Quickly made five shadow clones and four disappeared in the shadows only leaving one visible.
"Guard her!" Naru barked orders and swiftly ran to her classmates hospital room and jammed the code in great speed.

Sasuke's eyes stared wide at the strange anbu covering his mouth and raising his arm to stab him with a kuni. Naru sprung into action and in a split second she jumped on the Anbu's back holding back his arm keeping him from stabbing Sasuke to death.
She took her other arm and gripped it around his throat and her arm began to glow red and in an instant she knocked him out. She panted heavily but she was glad to see her clone run in with one of Jiji's trusted anbu dog. (I wonder if he knows I can tell it's him.) amusedly thought Naru.
"Lady Naru what happened?" Asked the anbu restraining the offender.
"That man tried to assassinate Sasuke but I got lucky when I surprised him and knocked him out." She quickly explained. Dog threw the man over his shoulder readying to leave but Naru stopped him.
"Who is he?" Asked the girl in his way.
"Root." Was all he said stepping by her. She sighed but sat by Sasuke to check for wounds. He just stared at her frightened.
"Are you hurt?" She Asked examining him.
He shook his head no not trusting his voice.
"You okay?" Asked the beautiful girl once more.
"H-hai." Sasuke actually voiced.
"Your Kaasan is a few rooms down, she's awake if you'd like to see her." Naru Said turning to leave but he quickly grabbed her hand.
"W-wait!" She Quickly halted turning to him.
"How are you so strong?" He actually sounded steady this time.
"Well I trained very hard but mostly I have a purpose." She smiled at the glint in his eyes.
"Purpose?" Asked the boy again.
"Hai my purpose to protect my loved ones." Sasuke looked down in defeat.
"I couldn't protect my loved ones." Sadly came his voice. Naru understood him clearly she too couldn't but she still can protect the ones that are left.
"I couldn't protect my parents either....they died recently in the war but I will get strong and protect those I have left." Naru told him lifting his chin to look at her. "Sasuke you still have your Kaasan to protect so grow strong for her." Her smile stirred something within him. "And you." He said squeezing her hand. "Me?" Naru asked surprised.
"You saved my Kaasan and me so I'm gonna protect you too!" Sasuke said with pure determination glinting in his obsidian orbs.
Naru Smiled down at him pleased he isn't consumed with revenge. (If he can move on...maybe I can.) Sadly thought the girl.
"Well Sasuke I must go I need to attend...something." He could easily see the pain in her eyes and he let her go to leave. Naru Smiled at him once more and left him to his own musings.
