Redemption

*beep boop gotta make a chappie woop!*

"Naru! Wait!" Kakashi yelled after her. Naru abruptly stopped and turned to him. The painful look she had broke his heart.
"How could she say that..." Naru asked him, eyes dropping to her feet. Kakashi grabbed her hands in his, kissing her knuckles.
"I don't know but she's a fool. Your parents were the bravest and most kindhearted people." Kakashi spoke to her softly. She smiled weakly and let him take her to their hotel.
"I must say, you definitely got her attention." Kakashi eye smiled, putting his arm around her. Naru just rolled her eyes at him but snuggled closer anyway.

"I need a nap." Naru sighed, smiling at him as he laughed her. He swooped her up, bridal style and sped off to the hotel.
"Kakashi!" Was lastly heard through the town.

//////NEXT DAY//////

Naru walked with Kakashi, to meet up with the others, when they did meet them...saying it was awkward was an understatement.
"So will you come back with us?" Naru cut to the chase, sipping her tea. Shizune, Jiraiya and Kakashi paled at her bluntness. Tsunade had her fingers interlocked, covering her mouth, studying the young woman before her.
(Time sure has flown....your daughter has grown into a beautiful woman Kushina-chan.) tsunade thought, feeling guilty once more.
"I wouldn't make a good hokage." Tsunade's words made everyone flinch, besides Naru. Naru made eye contact with her, a gaze that sent shivers up everyone's spines.

"I don't care." Naru's tone made the other part of the group sweat. Tsunade's brows furrowed, she definitely had her mother's stubbornness.
"Excuse me?" Tsunade placed her hands down, taken aback.
"Whether you become hokage or not doesn't concern me. I'm on a mission to bring you to Konoha and I'd really like to go home to relax for once." Naru truly was intimidating. Tsunade blinked at the girl before her, definitely not the answer she was expecting.
"So you just want me to come to Konoha?" Tsunade tiltled her head, feeling the gears in her head spinning. Naru nodded, getting tired of this crap.
"I suspect Orochimaru will try and meet with you, from what I understand, Jiji used the forbidden seal on his arms. So it'd be better for you to be in the village. What you ultimately decide there is your business." Naru placed a thoughtful finger to her chin. Tsunade's eyes widened at her speculation.
(Damn, their gaki is something else.) Tsunade thought stunned, Orochimaru has in fact already tried to contact her.

"Fine I will go." Tsunade sighed, making everyone watching the conversation feel relieved.
"Let's get moving then!" Jiraiya shouted, flustered not being able to handle the intensity anymore. After a quick moment to gather everyone's belongings they made haste to Konoha. Tsunade just couldn't stop staring at Naru on their way.
"How far along are you?" Tsunade asked the Vampiress.
"Five months." Naru answered, not even sparing her a glance.
"Damn I'm old!" Tsunade sighed feeling a dark cloud peer above her. Naru couldn't help it, she laughed making everyone stare at her.
"What? it was funny okay!" Naru snapped, blushing in embarrassment.
(Honestly I'm just glad she agreed to come; there's no telling when Orochimaru would've showed up for her. In my state, I'm in no condition to fight long term or at all.) Naru mentally sighed.
(Agreed! You did good kit. Thank Kami I can see through your eyes! Her face was priceless!) Chuckled her best friend. Naru nodded, unconsciously rubbing her stomach.
(Please Kami, let us get back safely.) Naru silently prayed.

"We're getting close, I can't wait to see the council's face!" joked Jiraiya, only to get glares.
"Tough crowd." His face fell, practically looking lifeless. Naru rolled her eyes at the man, but amongst their fun she stopped, startling everyone.
"What's wrong?" Kakashi placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. The look her face morphed into was one mixed of rage and horror.
"Orochimaru." She breathed out, everyone's eyes widened.

"Going somewhere Tsunade?" Orochimaru smirked, coming into view from the shadows. Kakashi instantly stepped in front of Naru, as did Jiraiya.
"What are you doing here? I already told you no!" Tsunade glared at her former teammate.
"Oh, but no just won't do!" His smirk turned into a full grin as Kabuto jumped down the tree above him. The traitorous minion threw several senbon at them making them separate. Jiraiya quickly summoned Gamabunta, seeing this Tsunade summoned Katsuyu.
"Kabuto!" Orochimaru snarled, Kabuto assisted the snake sannin and summoned Manda.
