Huh?! 790+ reads? o_O You guys are incredible. Thank you so much.

By the way, I was asked a question by a reader a while back but I couldn't respond back because of some issues with Wattpad. So I'm sorry if I came off as being rude for not responding back but to answer your question, yes, I will continue to add to Silence. Thank you for reading. ♡

I don't deserve this.

"YOU MAKE MY DAY" Seventeen

___________

So where do I begin?

Maybe from where we left off, so that would be when Carl ran out out the back door after being chased by police. Well, they caught him. Surprise, surprise. And that leads us to where I'm at right now: standing outside of his holding cell.

I was the last one to visit him today only because his blood relatives could see him first. They even let Sammy see him opposed to me.

'Drugs. It just had to be drugs.' I thought to myself as I opened the door. What made him think it was okay to be a hustler?

My thoughts were put on pause when I saw Carl laying down on the table. His head rested on his arms as he faced away from me, so I couldn't see his face but the steady rise and fall of his back gave it away that he was asleep.

'So adorable but so idiotic at the same time.' I thought to myself as I walked over to the sleeping teen.

Shaking him lightly, I began to wake him up. But when that didn't work I ended up flicking him on the forehead.

"Ow! What the f*ck, Lena?" Carl exclaimed jumping out of his seat, rubbing his slightly red forehead. "You could of been more gentle about it." Yawning, he stretched himself out only to wince right away. "Damn it." He whispered, turning away from me.

I furrowed my eyebrows. Before he turned away, I swear I could have seen a cut on his bottom lip.

I grabbed his chin and forced him to face me. 'What happened?'

With his head turned towards me, I could see every bruise that littered his face. 'Who did this to you?' I signed question after question, while slightly moving his head side to side.

"Lena," Carl grabbed my hands, not allowing me to move. "I'm fine. Sammy took me by surprise but I managed to clip her on the jaw."

My blood boiled. 'Who knows about this?'

"Fiona. She was glad I hit the bi- I mean idiot back." I smiled when he corrected himself. Even after he was thrown in jail, he still remembered to not cuss in front of me, our little promise.

'I just wish you never got into this mess. I'm scared that you'll have a hard time in juvie if Fiona's plan goes wrong.'

"You're keeping secrets now? What's Fiona's plan?" Carl pulled me into a hug as he spoke.

'You'll find out tomorrow.' I assured, leaning into him. 'Please don't say anything at your trial that will make you go to juvie.'

The room was silent before he answered. "I'll try." He added with a nervous laugh. "Now go home, it's getting late." He said looking at the wall. I followed his eyes to see an ancient looking clock on the wall signaling the time. 11:37.

I nodded, starting to get up but was pulled back by Carl holding onto me tighter. He surprised me by kissing my temple, letting his lips linger for a second before loosening his grip.

"Chill," the fiery teen said as she typed away on her phone, barely sparing me a glance. "He's a Gallagher."
