Chapter 9

"What happened why am I in the hospital?"

"Why are you here?"

"You did this didn't you?" I say narrowing my eyes.

"What did I ever do to you?" I question with tears in my eyes.

"You're here to make sure I die right well to bad mister I'm alive and I'm here to stay!" I smirk at him. Damn girl that were some serious mood swings right there.

"If i wanted to kill you, you would be dead." He replied calmly.

"Well then...uhh...uhh" I stammered

"You fell and hit your head, you were unconscious for 2 days and you also broke your hand when you fell, your mom and daughter were here so was your obnoxious friends." He said without any emotion on his face.

"Ohh uhh where are they now?" I questioned.

"Your mother went home and your friends should be here soon they went to the cafeteria ten minutes ago." He said.

"Okay." I say as i stare at him like he just grew five heads.

"Why are you here?" I asked

"I brought you here after you fell." He said

"That was two days ago not to be rude or anything but I know you hate me so why did you come back?" I questioned

"Who said I left." He says as he stares at me.

I was going to reply when my friends came piling into the room like they own the place.

"Your up." Jo screamed.

"When did you wake up." Xan asked.

"You really scared me." Jen said.

"Hey guys I just got up." I say and my eyes caught the movement of Nathaniel leaving the room.

"Guys what happened to me?" I asked

"You were in work when Nathaniel came to speak to you then you blacked out broke your hand and he brought you here." Jen said.

"He didn't leave your side the past 2 days. Every time we came to visit he would just be sitting and starring at you." Jo says.

"This is the first time he left now that your up I guess he wanted to give you time to process everything." Xan says.

"I'm just so happy that he was there to help you." Jo says coming over giving me a tight hug.

Me to girl me to.

"You'll be out of here in 3 days, we just want to run a few more test to make sure you're fit to go home." My doctor said with a small smile.

Its been a few hours since my friends left my mom came and visit with Makiea. She didn't understand why I wasn't going home  with them but I promised that i'll make it up to her. I haven't seen Nathaniel since he left and I really needed to thank him. Ten minutes later there was a knock at my door.

"I forgot my phone." Nathaniel says.

"Ohh yeah the nurse found it on the chair its in the top draw." I say.

"Thanks." He says. As he goes to leave I call his name and he turns around.

"Thank you." I say in a soft voice looking at him with great sincerity.

"No problem. When do you get to leave?" He asked.

"In three days they want to run a few more tests." I say.

"Good well I guess ill see you around. Take care of yourself." He says

And with that he was gone.

The three days past relatively fast with my friends, Kurwin my mom and daughter coming to visit. Leaving the hospital was the best day of my life. As I was being wheeled out to the car I noticed a black Audi A7 parked a few cars down recognizing it as Nathaniel's. I didn't see him after the day I woke up but I just had a feeling he was always at my door but every time I looked no one would be there.
I guess it was just wishful thinking.
