A/N: Sorry, guys. I stil have no idea where this story is taking us. I know just as much as you do ;P Disclaimer: I don't own any recognizable characters from AiW or AiW itself. Feel free to comment/review!

Normal POV

While a discussion was going on in Alice and Tarrant's guestroom, there was also another discussion in the master bedroom with Glen Hightopp and Alex Hightopp.

"Father..." Alex started with a sigh while putting a ward on the door so that no one get in or hears anything. "Why did you leave..five years ago? I know it's because mom told you, but why?"

"....." No answer came from Glen Hightopp. He didn't know what to say. Glen thought no child from the Hightopp family was to know about what their mother said. Finally, he found the right words and filled with muchness, he continued on. "I am not to tell you until you are twenty-one; same with your sisters. I'm sorry for leaving, and I'm sorry for the fact that I'm going to leave again."

There's that same mad smile the Alex often gave to his sisters when he was sad. Alex and Glen's eyes, the blue eyes, are now dark and hollow. No one moved and no one said anything for a few minutes.

Alex's POV

I don't understand why he can't just tell me. Alex thought. The day before mother died, she told me that Father would be leaving. But why...?

Normal POV

Alex thought about it for a few minutes but never came up with a reason.

"Well then, why did you sometimes visit me?" Alex asked his father. "Or rather, why did you sometimes 'stalk' me? But why didn't you do that to Alice and Angelica?" The poor boy was overflowing with questions to be answered.

"You have keen eyes, my son."

"Just answer me...please." Alex pleaded for the truth he so wanted.

"Because you were young." Glen replied plainly, like he was an answering machine.

"Whatever do you mean?"

"...." Glen, once again, did not reply.

"Please, father. Do tell me."

"I... I'm sure you know that your sisters feel only hatred toward me right now. They would probably freak out if they knew I was looking at them behind the bushes."

"...So? Just tell them why you left!?" Alex's eyes turned to a bit yellow out of frustration.

"I can't do that until they are twenty-one, as I've told you. Right now, they know just as much as you do." Glen Hightopp answered his son with a slight smile.

"I should probably get going now." Said Glen. He was leaving again, not coming back for a few years. Again.

Then, the conversation ended. With a snap, Glen vanished once again.

Alex walked outside of the room only to find that Alice, Angelica, Alice, and Tarrant are all gone. He called out to them, but only Aunt Alice and Uncle Tarrant came out of their room.

"What's wrong, my nephew?" Tarrant asked with a wide grin. Though his deep blue eyes did not escape Alex's yellow ones.

"Where are my sisters? I need to see them."

"I'm afraid you can't see them right this second. They're... doing something important." Aunt Alice answered. "They're not going to be out until tomorrow."
