"Done," said Mrs. Arisugawa once she finished doing her daughter's hair.
"Thanks Mom," said Sakura, her fingers lightly brushing through her soft pink hair. Sakura was wearing a fairy costume, with wire wings, green and pink dress, and a pretty flowery headband.
It was Halloween, the Arisugawa Triplets were getting on their costumes before heading over to meet at Kirara's house.
"Look at how cute you all look!" Mrs. Arisugawa exclaimed as she took out her camera to take a lot of pictures. "Daniel, you must come see this!"
"One moment, Kanon," said Mr. Arisugawa as he looked through a folder of papers "At least three children said they were afraid of books, I'm going to have to talk to them about that,"
Mr. & Mrs. Arisugawa ran a kindergarten in town. The triplets knew the last assignment was to write about something they were afraid of. But books?
"Maybe they're scared of getting a paper cut," Mikuru guessed (she was dressed as a witch).
"Or maybe they're scared of big words!" Otome suggested (she was a scarecrow)
"Well I'll find out next week," Mr. Arisugawa put his folder away and smiled at his daughters "You all look beautiful," he said
"Thank you!" They said in unison
"We better get going," said Sakura "We don't want to be late,"
"Nope! And the candy is calling my name!" Otome cried as she started hoping to the door.
"Wait!" Mrs. Arisugawa cried. She quickly retrieved the girls' Halloween bags and handed them out before they left. "You'll need something to carry all that candy in,"
"Thanks Mom!" said Mikuru
"Come on, let's go!" Otome dashed out the door and her sisters followed behind. They zipped around next door where Kirara lived, 122 Aikatsu Street. At least, for the moment.
Mikuru rang the doorbell while Otome got distracted by the Halloween decorations Aikatsu Street had played out.
After a moment, Mrs. Hanazono came out with fresh paint in her hair and on her clothes. "Hello," she said "Mind the paint smell, I was just trying out a new art form. Candy?"
The triplets nodded and Mrs. Hanazono went inside and the girls could see what they were dreading inside. Boxes. Five boxes half full of Hanazono things. Thankfully, Mrs. Hanazono came back to block their view and came back with a bowl of marshmallows and Kirara, who was also dressed as a fairy. "Here you go," Mrs. Hanazono put big handfuls of marshmallows into each of the girls bag, eager to get rid of them. "Happy Halloween,"
"Hi guys," said Kirara "Sorry, I meant to tell you, but we're meeting Aria at her house instead,"
"Oh," said Sakura, get gaze turning to the boxes behind them.
"Well you girls better get on your way," said Mrs. Hanazono as she placed Kirara's Halloween basket in her daughter's hands. "Have fun,"
"We will," said Kirara as her mother kissed her on the cheek.
"Let's go!" Otome exclaimed, turning to the other house which was on the other end of the Arisugawa house. 124 Aikatsu Street.
Kirara rang the bell and Mr. Nijino answered. He was holding a cookbook in one hand and holding the door open with the other. "Hi Mr. N!" said Otome "May we come in please?"
"Of course," he said with a smile
The four girls walked in and Mr. Nijino returned to his cookbook. Without fail, Mr. Nijino has always been able to find something wrong with a recipe from cookbooks. He took pleasure in correcting them all, though it did infuriate him a little to see all the "obvious" mistakes.
