Cocoa

Kirara puffed out a cloud of her breath into the cold winter air. She sat on the top of The Wonder, looking over the snow filled woods, emotionless and motionless.

After Yume was hit in the eye with a snowball, everyone decided to come over to the Bokerdole Mansion for some of Shelly's amazing cocoa. But, to Kirara's dismay, Akari seemed to be the center of attention. Again. (But truthfully, she was only talking with Ako and Yume some more).

"Hi Kirara!" A voice said happily. Kirara looked down to see Otome holding two mugs of hot chocolate in her gloved hands. "What are you doing up there?"

"Just thinking," Kirara answered with a shrug

"Do you want some hot cocoa while you think? It's really Love You!" Kirara shrugged. "I'll take that as a yes! Send down the dumbwaiter!" 

The Wonder, as the name went, never ceased on wonders. Along with a telescope, beautiful interior, and amazing flag, The Wonder included a dumbwaiter for everyone to pass up items with. This was Asahi's idea, and -in his opinion- it was purely ingenious.

Kirara got off the roof of The Wonder and into the main room where she sent down the dumbwaiter. Otome carefully put in the two mugs of hot chocolate then pulled down the latter for herself. Kirara pulled up the dumbwaiter and, once in The Wonder, Otome took the mugs out of the crate that was the dumbwaiter.

"Here you go," Otome handed Kirara a mug

"Thank you," Kirara blew on it then drank, the hot liquid warming her from her toes to her head. "It's so good,"

"Yeah!" Otome agreed before taking a burning gulp with such gusto the heat dent mind her at all "A lot of us are inside. Shelly made this gingerbread that is just so LOVE YOU!! It goes great with the cocoa. Wanna come inside?"

"Hmm ... not yet," Kirara shook her head then continued drinking "Hey Otome, do you like Akari?"

"Akari? Yeah! She's really fun and nice!" Otome answered before slurping down the last of her hot cocoa.

"Am I  fun and nice?" Kirara asked

"Of course you are," Otome nodded "That's partly why we'll miss you so much when you go,"

"What about other parts?" Kirara asked

"Well you're a great artist! And you care about animals, and you have a sweet tooth that's almost as big as mine!"

Kirara smiled "Thanks,"

Otome smiled back and looked around The Wonder "Oh! Oh! And, without you, we wouldn't have had The Wonder!" Otome added

That was only half true, maybe not even that much. After the Arisugawas tree house, Starlight, was burnt down from lightning, Subaru decided to build a new tree house in the Bokerdoles' garden where an unfinished tree house was already waiting for them. Kirara helped design the tree house, but she was sure everyone could have done fine without her.

"Hey! Akari is inside now!" Otome told Kirara "Why don't we go inside and talk to her?"

"Oh, um, sure," said Kirara in an unsure way "But let me finish my cocoa first,"

Kirara drank as slowly as she could, but sadly her mug was emptied too soon. But she kept to her word, so Kirara and Otome joined everyone else inside.

Akari was talking to Hime, Kirara felt her blood start to boil. Otome took her over anyway. "Akari! Have you met Kirara?" Otome asked

Akari nodded "Yes. Oh. Kirara, are you okay?"

Kirara scowelled "No,"

"Are you ... mad at me?" Akari asked

"Yes!" Kirara squeaked

"Why?"

Kirara's body shook, then she just let it all out "Rich Kid! Violins! Uniform! Replace!" Kirara just yelled it all out and the two starred at each other for what felt like an eternity. Then Akari chuckled. "It's not funny," said Kirara as she tried to hold back her laughs

"No, of course not," Akari laughed

Soon, everyone was laughing! And everything, in those moments, was okay. Everything was okay.
