The black pavement below was littered with rushing cars while the sidewalks were filled with bustling people. The sky above was gloomy as the darkened clouds took away the light of the day. It was quiet in my room. The only sounds being heard was the usual city life below but the more prominent sound came from behind me as the heart monitor beeped to its own rhythm, my rhythm. As I exhaled into the surrounding air around me the window caught my vapor as it clung to the glass. I wrapped my arms around my legs as I brought them closer to my body. The fetal position I held on the window seal of this boring hospital room may of look psychotic to some, but I wasn't crazy, at least I didn't think I was. Many thoughts raced through my mind as my curiosity grew to an all time high.

It's been about a week since I woke up according to the doctor and I still haven't received any information. On occasion I would get visitors but I had no clue who they were. These two boys kept visiting me. One had curly hair and striking green eyes and the other had blonde hair with the most adorable blue eyes. They looked oddly familiar to me yet nothing trigger remembrance in my brain as they still seemed to be strangers to me. One day the two boys brought in two more boys. The other two didn't say much but when I asked them who they were the one with tousled brown hair and sea green eyes broke out into tears as the curly head boy took him out of the room. I wouldn't speak to them even though the blonde one would try to make conversation. I had no clue who these strangers were yet they acted like we have known each other for years.

I let out a deep sigh as the memories of the past week hit me. The only memories I can recall before the last where I was getting into the car with my parents. Speaking of which I still haven't heard from them and every time I ask the doctor for my parents he gives me a sad look before leaving the room. I was getting frustrated that nobody was telling me anything. Like how I managed to get three bullet wounds or how my features look much older than I remember for being ten. I didn't even know anything about my medical condition or why I was here in the first place. It was like I was the dummy and everyone else was controlling my strings as I went along with it. The nurse would come in every day to give me food, check on my oxygen, and ask me how I was feeling. I didn't understand any of it and I want answer now.
