The room was silent as nobody really had anything to say. My gaze was directed towards the oak wood of the giant oval conference table we all sat around. I was trying to recall any other memories but that's the only one I can seem to come up with.
“So what were we called here for?” Harry spoke his voice quiet as he tried to get us all to come back to reality. Tarnish looked up from the table as he brought his hand up to his mouth and let out a low cough into it.
“Well, seeing as Payton hasn't really lost any physical abilities we can proceed with the assignment.” Tarnish said as I looked up from the table to stare at the surrounding environment.
“What's the assignment.” My lips seemed to move without me making them and as I glanced over at Tarnish he seemed to raise an eyebrow at my outburst.
“A prisoner escaped from jail and is out for revenge on...certain people.” Tarnish said vaguely as he scratched the bearded part of his chin.
“Wait, Tarnish you better not be talking about who I think you're talking about.” Harry said sternly and as I turned to look at him I noticed a spark of hatred flash across his eyes while he balled his hands into fists on the wooden table. Tarnish lifted his head to look at the ceiling as he pursed his lips in thought before looking back down at Harry.
“Unfortunately it is.” Tarnished sighed as a fist slammed against the table sending a booming echo throughout the room.
“No!” Harry yelled as I jumped a bit in my seat. I've never seen him so...angry. The veins in his neck were popping out as his face glowed red. Louis' head fell into his hands as he shook it back and forth. Niall looked distant to the whole conversation as did Liam and Zayn sat quietly as he stared at the wall. “You are not sending, Payton out on another mission to catch that scum bag!” Harry roared as he stood up forcefully his chair flying backwards at his actions.
“She's the only trained Agent we have to even possibly stop him.” Tarnish sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Who?” I found myself asking and it seemed they forgot I was there as they both turned towards me with mouths hung open and a loss for words. I stared back and forth between the two as they both still hadn't muttered a word. Images of my uncle flashed through my mind but as quickly as they were there they were gone. I furrowed my eyebrows in thought as I looked towards the wooden table. My uncle? I found myself questioning my thoughts but once again my mouth seemed to have a mind of its own. “It's my uncle?” I asked as I brought my head up to stare at the two of them. Harry's eyes widened as did Tarnish's.
“How-w do you know that?” Harry stuttered as he furrowed his eyebrows at me. I bit my lip as I thought about it.
“I don't know.” I whispered as I shook my head. The images led me to think that but I didn't believe it yet after hearing what Harry just said I kind of get the feeling it is my uncle.
