Recap:

“Payton!” Harry's voice boomed threw the house as I descended the stairs to come face to face with a worried Harry. Once he saw me he engulfed me in a hug which I awkwardly accepted. “Are you okay, are you hurt, is there anyone here?” He questioned as he examined my body for any signs of infliction.

“I'm fine, the house is clear but a lot of stuff is broken.” I stated as Harry nodded. The other boys soon entered the house and cursed as they examined all the damage.

“I better call someone it isn't safe for us to stay here.” Louis said as he pulled out his phone and walked away.

“We better go pack our bags because I'm pretty sure we aren't going to be staying here tonight.” Niall sighed as he ventured up the stairs with Liam and Zayn trailing behind him. Harry looked at me before following the rest up the stairs. I sighed before pulling the watch out of my pocket and fiddling with it once again. I sighed before clutching it in my hand as I held it tightly. Moments went by and it started beeping like it did in my head. I jumped out of fright and as I opened my hand to look at it the screen lit up blue with unknown written across it. Fear coursed threw me as I stared at it longer before I hit the green accept button.

“Hello?”

“Payton?” The voice was scratchy and it seemed like there was a bad signal as it came in a little choppy. “Payton you have to listen to me.” It spoke again, but I could barely make out the sentence.

“Who is this?” I asked while looking down at the watch. It was pitch black on the front as only a voice seemed to be coming through.

“You…Leave…now!” The voice said urgently through many pauses. The call ended just as glass shattered and a loud boom echo through the hall. I looked to my right just in time to see the couch go up in flames. The red embers danced in front of my eyes as I stared at in awe. Heat radiated from the room as my skin began to shimmer with a glistening sweat. Reality finally struck me as I watched the embers leap to the floor and rush its way around the room, engulfing it in flames.

“Boys!” I screamed as feet clambered down the hallway.

“Payton what’s go…” Louis began to ask before he was cut short by the embers dancing before his eyes. He looked down at me just as I looked up at him and it was like our bodies moved in sync as we rushed to collect the other boys.

“Niall, Liam!” I called as I rushed up the steps as fast as my legs could carry me.

“Harry, Zayn!” Louis yelled as he pressed up the stairs behind me. Smoke rose to the top of the house and as we went higher the air became thicker. I coughed, trying to rid the substance from my lungs.

“Payton?” Liam asked as he leaned out of his door.

“Liam, we have to go now!” I rushed out through my many coughs. The hallway was filling quickly with black smoke and I guess he realized that something was wrong. Another loud boom echoed through the house making it tremble as I had to grip Louis’ arm in order to stay balanced. Doors opened in the hallway as the three other boys emerged. Their eyes were wide with curiosity as I just shook my head. “Guys we have to leave now!” I shouted through the smoke filled hallway. I rushed back down the hallway towards the stairs, but as I reached the landing I noticed the embers made their way to the hallway. The flames lingered at the bottom of the steps as they slowly devoured every step in their path. I looked back at the guys as they all stared hopefully at me. I sighed before trying to think of another escape plan. My eyes made contact at the end of the hall where a single window sat. All the boys looked towards where I was looking and it seemed to get the message across as everyone started dashing towards the end of the hallway.
