My feet padded against the white linoleum flooring as Agent Tarnish led the way through the halls. My eyes widened and my smile perked as I looked through all the overhead windows that displayed the different rooms below. I was never in this part of the academy and I honestly felt like a little kid on christmas morning. The five boys whispered and gawked behind me as Tarnish kept leading the way to some unknown destination. The doors at the end of the hallway seemed to open up as two guards stepped out followed by a boy decked out in an orange jump suit. Tarnish halted in his steps as the guards proceeded down the hallway. Their boots slapping against the floors making the sound echo throughout the hall. The boy behind them wore chains that connected his hands together and as he walked behind the guards he kept his head hung low.

“Tarnish, why did we stop?” I asked as I looked up at the man as he glanced down at me with a stern expression.

“Excuse me, but why is he out of his cell?” Tarnish asked the two guards as they got closer. His voice was stern and held authority making me question the reason behind it. The guards stopped in front of us as they looked at one another before answering.

“Headmistress Barclay wanted to see him, sir.” One of the guards said. I couldn't see the boy behind the two guards but I could tell he had lifted his head from its bowed position.

“There were strict orders to keep him under lock and key, no parole, no socialization.” Tarnish said harshly and as I looked behind me at the boys they were all whispering quietly to one another. Harry looked over at me but soon looked away and I instantly knew they were hiding something from me, again.

“We know of the orders, sir, but Headmistress said his parents are here to chat with him.” The other guard said as he shifted from one foot to the next out of nervousness. Tarnish glanced behind him at the boys and myself before letting out a short sigh.

“Tell the headmistress to give me a call as soon as you get there, got it.” Tarnish said sternly as the guards both nodded.

“Yes, sir.” The one said before the other one looked behind them at the prisoner. I felt a hand on my shoulder and as I turned around I noticed it was Harry's. He smiled sadly down at me and I furrowed my eyebrows before a familiar voice made me halt my actions.

“Payton?” A deep voice said from behind me and as I turned around I noticed it was Finn. His hair was tousled and his eyes held dark circles under them probably from lack of sleep. As I took in his appearance it made me question why he was a criminal under so much lock and key like Tarnish said a minute ago. It honestly spark so many new questions.

“Finn, I haven't seen you in a while.” I said as I gave him a small smile. I felt Harry's hand squeeze my shoulder but I brushed it off. Finn furrowed his eyebrows at me before looking past me and towards the boys.

“I guess you haven't.” Finn said as he chewed on his inner cheek and looked towards the floor. I frowned as I took in his glum expression.

“Why are you in jail?” I asked after a moment of silence. I furrowed my eyebrows at him and he seemed to do the same as his brought his gaze up to meet mine.
