After a few minutes of pondering over Elliot, Landa slowly stood up. She sighed a sigh of grief as she looked at her motionless parents. She had no idea what she was going to do and where she was going to live after this was over, if she survived. With a last longing glance at her dead parents, she turned around and went to the Great Hall where all the fighting had occurred.

She was not ready to see what she saw. She saw a dead body everywhere she looked. The dead people reminded her of her still parents. She walked slowly, looking at all the dead people. She felt bad for all these people. She never wanted there to be a war. It was senseless fighting and murder.

She also did not expect her friends to have beaten the enemy. Her friends were way outnumbered, yet they won. How? She did not want to think about it. She wandered aimlessly, feeling very depressed over the various events that had happened to her since she met the fake Elliot. "Who was that fake Elliot?" she wondered. She decided she would ask Palson before he killed her.

Landa arrived in front of a wooden door. She had not seen what was behind it yet. Curious, she opened it noiselessly. She saw another door a few feet from her open just a little. Not wanting to attract attention, she squeezed through the opening and saw Palson opening his mouth to say, Landa assumed, a curse aimed at Elliot, standing a few feet from Palson. Sensing danger, she gasped audibly and ran out to block Elliot from Palson's death curse. She was a little too slow.

The curse hit Elliot's right shoulder, causing him to scream in agony. He was thrown hard against the far wall.

Landa, a little off balance, since the curse had brushed her a little too, stood up, looked at Palson, and felt strong hatred rush through her veins. He had already killed her parents. Now he was trying to kill her friend.

Landa looked at Elliot in the corner and ran to him. She bent down and put her hands on his face, leaning over him.

"Elliot," she whispered.

"Landa," Elliot said, having diffuculty getting his words out, "I love you."

"I love you too Elliot," Landa said, crying.

Elliot looked at her and saw the girl he had been with so long. He thought she was beautiful and brave. Yes, he loved her.

He lifted his face to hers and their lips met. They kissed violently, feeling happy for just a moment. Landa knew she would lose the boy she loved. Elliot knew he would die, but he would die peacefully, knowing there is hope while Landa was alive, that she would kill his enemy.

Elliot thought about how he had tried to kill Palson to avenge his family. He knew from the start that he had no chance. He did not know magic like Palson did, when just one word could kill you instantly.

Landa released herself from Elliot. He smiled and fell back onto the floor, his eyes closed. Landa, with tears streaming down, hugged him tightly, hoping desperately that there was still life left in him. Then, she got up and faced Palson. She felt a hatred towards him that she had never felt towards anyone before in her life.

Landa stood, face to face, with Palson. She knew she did not stand a chance. Palson could kill her with one word. She felt a little frightened. She wondered where her friends were, especially the wizard. She needed Galadriel at this crucial point. He could kill Palson easily.

Then, Roco appeared.

"Good. Roco, come here," Palson said. Roco obediently came.

"Roco, will you love Landa forever?" Aldrich asked.

"No, Father," Roco said.

"What? Do you mean to say that you no longer love her?" screamed Aldrich angrily.
