Landa woke up. She had no idea where she was. She remembered what had happened very clearly, every detail of it lingered in her mind. She sighed. At least, it was all over. But she still had lost her parents. She was pretty sure she had lost Elliot as well. As for her other friends, she had no idea.

She lifted her head and immediately felt pain rush through her neck. She put her head back down and felt the bandage around her neck.

There was a knock on the door and then it opened. She saw Roco in front of her. She did not expect him to come.

"You killed my father," he said quietly.

Landa was dumbfounded. He was accusing her. Yes, it was true. She did kill his father, but it was so unexpected.

"I'm sorry," she replied quietly.

"You are not," Roco said.

Another accusation. Landa did not know what to say, so she kept quiet.

"You are not sorry. You wanted to kill him," Roco repeated.

"I had to. He killed my parents. I have no mother and no father. You still have your mother," Landa said.

"That is true," Roco said thoughtfully. "I'm sorry. It's just I watched you kill my father. It was painful."

"I watched your father kill both my parents. Would you have preferred if your father had killed me instead?"

"No. He would have killed me. Thanks for saving my life."

"Thank you. You have saved mine a million times."

"You see what I mean now though, we can never be the same towards each other again?" Roco asked.

"Yes," Landa answered.

"Roco, your friends, Julian, Ako, and Perry, are they still alive?" Landa asked hesitantly.

"Only Perry. The others were killed in the Great Hall by your friends."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Perry was the nicest one. Julian and Ako were jerks."

After a short pause, Roco said, "Goodbye, Landa. Go on with your life. I'll go on with mine." He reached his hand towards Landa and she grabbed it. They shook hands firmly, nodded at each other, and Roco left.

An hour after Roco's departure, Landa lay in bed still, wondering how she was going to continue going on with her life. She would never be exactly the same. She had been changed.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the opening of the door. She looked up and was shocked. Her eyes opened wide. Forgetting about her pain, she climbed out of bed and rushed into his arms.

"Elliot!" she cried. "I thought you were dead!" They hugged and kissed, happy to be with each other again.

Elliot's injured shoulder was in a cast.

"The curse only managed to break my shoulder," Elliot explained. Landa was sure the curse had done more damage, but she didn't say anything.

Landa did not pay attention to Elliot's hand fumbling with a small piece.

"Tell me. How did you escape? One second you were there, the next you were gone," Landa said.

"I was unconscious. But soon, I revived and I noticed you were fighting. My hand automatically went to my sword, but I found it missing. Then, I saw you using it. I crawled out of the room unnoticed. I think Roco saw me, but he didn't do anything. When I was out of the room, I stood up and went to find the others."
