Chapter 32 - Thunder God vs. Lightning Devil

"I must say, your stubbornness is starting to get annoying." Ryu's fist erupts into lightning, and he punches me in my ribs repeatedly. Each shot causing me to wince even more then the last. "Why won't you scream."

"Because...." I pant. "I've accepted my fate... but I won't give you the satisfaction of making me scream. My father, my mother, and my uncle, cousin, and grandfather didn't give you the satisfaction. And neither will I."

"Have it your way. You're only making your death come slower and slower." Ryu weaves a hand seal. "Fire Style: Demon Lantern." Six small fire balls form around Ryu. Ryu continues to create weave hand seals, and the fire balls take the shape of Demon heads. Ryu finishes by creating the Tiger hand seal with one hand, and all six of the Fire balls hit me, one by one, creating small explosions of flames when the make contact. The fire balls stop hitting me, and I pant extremely hard. "Have you considered giving in yet?" I barley manage to lift my head up, and even when I do my vision is so blurry I can only make out Ryu's outline. "Have you finally hit your breaking point?"

"Fu... fuc ... fuck you." My head falls back down.

Ryu sighs. "Your too much like your great grandmother for own good. Ryu kneels down and looks me directly in my eyes. "She refused to scream. She refused to beg me for mercy. In a lot of way I respect the both of you for that it's admirable. But in a lot of ways it's really fucking annoying!" Ryu stabs a kunai into my back, and I once again only wince in pain. "Stubborn fool just give in so I can kill you already." Ryu steps back. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu."

Naruto's pov

"You did good Naruto." I hear Kakashi say. As he catches me, as I fall out of a tree.

"Thank y..." I pass out before I finish my sentence. I open my eyes, and I am back in the village. I get off of Kakashi's back, and most of the village surrounds me. They all congratulate, and thank me, for saving the village.

"Hey wait where's (y/n)?" A villager shouts.

"Yeah I saw him beat one of the guys that attacked the village. He's a hero too." Another villager said.

"Naruto where's Captain?" I turn around to see Konohamaru and his team standing behind me.

"I'm not sure. He took out four of the Pains and jumped off."

"Where do you think he could have gone?" A villager asked.

"That bastard! He left the village again!" Another shouted.

"Yeah! That little bastard ran off again!" Villagers begin to shout. "He's a coward!"

"Would you shut up!" Konohamaru shouts. "Captain wouldn't have ran off again! He fought to protect you all! And just because he's not here in front of you now you call him a coward! He's just as much of a hero as Naruto is! And he didn't run off."

"And we'll prove it." Moegi and Udon add. Before all three of them turn around, and run put of the village.

"Konohamaru wait!" I yell, and try to go after them, but someone grabs my arm. I turn back around to see Sakaru. She points towards the gate, and I see Lee, Neji, Tenten, and Guy Sensei run out after them.

"Leave finding (y/n) up to them." Sakaru pulls me into a hug. "You need to get some rest."

(Y/n)'s pov

"You're a fool if you think your body can hold out any longer." I pant as blood drips from my mouth, eyes, and slowly flows from the cuts in my body. "From the amount of blood you've lost so far, I'd say you'll bleed out in about two, maybe three, hours." The rock spears, in my shoulders, lift me up higher, and move me closer to Ryu. "It's funny how this world works isn't?" Ryu stabs a kunai into my side. "You came out here to kill me, and get revenge for everyone I killed, rather I did it directly or indirectly. But the only thing that came off this is you ended up being trapped, and tortured to death." Ryu pulls the Kunai out, and stabs it into my leg. "You see (y/n), this isn't a fairy tale, this isn't some legend, the good guy doesn't win this. No one is going to save you. In a few minutes, or hours, you are going to die, and your Rinnegan will be mine. And with that power I will bring about great change to the shinobi world. I will put an end to the endless fighting. But let me guess you're wondering how I'm going to make that happen? It's simple really, I'm going to burn this world to the ground. And then I, and I alone, will wonder this planet making sure life will never start again."
