I put on my best casual outfit.

Which wasn't really much, considering I was running really really late.

I knew the restaurant was on the very other side of town so now, I was panicking.

I grabbed my keys and coat and dashed out the door, slamming it and locking it fast.

I sprint down the 7 flights of stairs and finally make it outside.

Looked up and could see that it was snowing slightly, now that made me smile.

I looked in all directions for a cab.

None of them would slow down, they all just went wishing past me.

I started to walk into the street a bit for more luck to stop one.

Finally one pulled over and I felt a rush of relief.

Just as I was passing the front of the vehicle someone random person came from no where and stole my cab.

"What are you doing?! That's my cab! I saw it first!!"

I yelled at them.

They said nothing and slammed the door making the cab move almost instantly making me have to move out

of the way.

I sighed, looking down at the ground, then up into the dark nights sky feeling the small snow flakes hit my face in different spots.

Then a heard the revving of a car slow down next to me and someone getting out of it, slamming the door.

I looked down towards the person.

Oh no.....

"ERIC?!"

He laughed,

"Hey sunrise. Your perfect time, it's exactly 8! Well... 8:05." He grinned.

"Perfect time? I thought...wait, what?"

I said rather confused.

"No, don't you remember? I called you yesterday telling you I would pick you up at exactly 8 outside your place."

I stood there silent.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.

"Oh yeah.. That's right."

"So shall we get going?",

He said opening the door of the car for me.

I smiled without trying to look so worried and got on in.

I watched him trot around the front side of the car through the fogged wind shield.

I've really screwed up this time...
