The Short Life Of Mika Samuels

Chapter 1:

''Nick, Nick!'' I shouted at a walker and Lizzie, Luke, and Molly named some others 

''What are you doing?'' Carl and Patrick looked at us 

A/N Im not putting exactly what they say or everything because theres no way i can rewatch season 4, i missed the july 4th marathon so im putting what i remember and what the wikia says, last time i watch episode 1 was in May sorry if im getting things wrong or putting them in the wrong order 

''Well he had a name tag and we thought all of them should'' i responded

''They don't talk. They don't think. They eat people. They kill people. Dont name them''' Carl told us

''They're just, different'' Lizzie said 

''Have you seen somebody get eaten by a walker?'' Carl said

''Actually, I have'' Lizzie said angrily and walked away, Luke and Molly followed her

''So are you guys going to storytime later?'' 

''Yea'' Patrick answered

I walked away and followed my sister

''He doesn't get it, he doesn't know'' Lizzie said

''Lizzie, what Carl said, well, its true, you know that''

''But they're different, they have to do those things'' She said angrily 

''Lizzie, its okay, calm down, lets just go to storytime okay?'' she nodded and I sighed, I wished she would realize what they really we're 

We got to the library and Carol read a few pages of the book then Luke took watch and she put out knifes then started the lesson, she paused and looked up and saw Carl

''Please don't tell your father'' she pleaded

Carl walked out of the room looking disgusted 

Carol sighed and said, ''Um lets just continue this tomorow'' I got up and went to my dad and hugged him then walked around and bumped into Lizzie holding a box

''Whats that?'' 

''A rat''

''Why do you have it?''

''I got to feed the walkers'' she said and smiled

''Lizzie are you sure thats a good idea?''

''Yes, i'm just giving them a little food, want to help me?'' 

I need to make sure she doesnt get hurt, feeding walkers was a bad idea, the apocalypse had messed up my sister, and i knew she wouldnt mind an encounter with a walker

''Okay, yes, ill help, but you have to promise me if one walker chases us, then you have to stop feeding them, its dangerous, please Lizzie''

''Sure, whatever, Mika just hide the box for me kay? dont open the lid, it might have rabies, i havent killed it yet, im planning on killing it later then leaving it so they could eat it''

Shes worried about rabies, but doesnt care about encountering flesh-eating,walking, dead people?

When nobody was paying attention we snuck off and killed the rat and left it to be eaten,

I was very glad it was over, and happy we didnt run into any walkers

 ''Hey girls, what have you guys been doing?'' My dad asked us

''Oh nothing, Mika and I were just wandering around'' Lizzie answered

''Yeah, what Lizzie said'' i said 

''Okay, well dont go too far, there might still be walkers in some places, ill be in my cell if you need me'' he hugged us and walked away

''So tomorow we can get another rat and do the same''

''Lizzie are you nuts?''

''No, come on Mika, no walkers were there, were fine''

''But we could run into some and one of us could get a bite''

''Whats so bad about that? The walkers are good''

''Good? They want to kill us just like Carl said, he said what was true!''

''Mika, you don't know them like i do, you dont, thats why you don't understand, but its okay, ill go by myself''

''Lizzie, just be careful, remember what i said, if you see even one walker, you run, and you dont come back''

''Mika, i know, I know, im older, i dont need help from my little sister, just stop, im okay''

''Lizzie please be careful, i love you'' i gave her a hug and we went to our cell and slept

I woke up to screams, everybody was running around and Carol put Lizzie and I somewhere she said was safe

''W-what happened?'' I said

''I dont know, we all woke up and saw walkers running around everywhere, I think one walker got in and started biting people, just stay here ill be back okay?'' Carol said

''Wheres my dad?'' Lizzie asked

''Hes okay, he sent me to find you guys, but just stay here''

We sat on the floor and held hands when Carol left,

''Lizzie, im scared, what if dad died? what if carol lied?''

''He's fine, i bet he is, Mika were all going to be okay, and when Carol and everybody else kills the walkers, were going to go see dad and hes going to hug and kiss us, and well hes going to be fine, Carol said he is''   

Beth and Maggie came and told us it was safe to come back and Carol ran into dads cell looking upset 

''What happened?''

''Im so sorry, he was bit''
