He let me go back to class, and that's what I did. When I got back everyone was staring at me. I just went back to my seat and sat down.
I couldn't focus anymore. I was so angry and sad. I just want to see George. I just want to talk to him. I just want to hug him.
Soon it became lunch time. I went to are usual table, and George never came. I saw him sitting with Marissa. Am I going to lose him?
I looked over at Paul. He took his lunch and stood up. "Come on."
"What?" I asked.
"If he's not coming to us, were going to him." Paul explained. I stood up and walked over with Paul. We sat down by him.
"Hi y/n." George smiled. "Hi Paul."
"Hey Georgie." I grinned and Paul said hello as well. Marissa didn't look too pleased with us sitting by her and her boyfriend. "Weren't you going to tell me something?"
"Oh yeah!" He nodded. "But I rather do it in private." He whispered, and I nodded. We stood up and walked over to where no one was.
"So what was it?" I asked.
"Y/n, I don't think I actually love Marissa. She's talking down on you guys, and she's so controlling." He said.
"I'm sorry George. You should be honest with her. Hiding your feelings is not good." I explained.
"I know, but-" He started.
"Georgie." Marissa grabbed George's arm and pouted. "Come back."
"Marissa," He pulled her off of him. He sighed. "I'm sorry."
"Come on Georgie, what's wrong? Is it her?" What a bitch.
"No it's not." He looked at me. "I can't do it." He's always been too nice. He doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. He'd rather go through Hell then to stick up for himself.
"George, don't be upset." She turned his head towards her, and kissed him. I wanted to slap her, but instead I went back to the table, grabbed my food, and left.
"Y/n." Paul grabbed my arm. "Y/n. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. Just let me go, please." I yanked my arm back and went outside to sit and eat my lunch.
"Y/n." George came after me. Maybe he does like me more than a friend, no he's just being a good friend. He sat next to me.
"I brought you a cookie." He handed me a chocolate chip cookie. "I'm sorry about yesterday, and today."
It's so dumb, but that small kind gesture broke me apart. Today sucked, and yesterday sucked, but he thought of me. He thought of me and wanted to help me. I started to cry and he pulled me into a hug.
"What? Am I that bad of a cook?" He chuckled. I took the cookie.
"No! No!" I wiped my tears away. "I'm just so grateful for you and Paul. You guys are the best people I have ever met." I told him, and Paul walked out and sat next to us.
"We're grateful to have you, y/n." He said, still not removing his arm from around me. It felt nice. I don't want him to take his arm away.
The bell rang to go to class, and this time George was in my class with me. "Y/n." He spoke, and I looked at him. "I don't know how to break up with her. I mean it's only been a day, and I want to break up with her."
"That's why it's better to do it now. George, it's unfair to pretend to love someone. That's why I couldn't date Paul. I mean I love him, but as a friend." We stood up and he took his arm away.
"I suppose your right." He sighed. "Do I just tell her or...?" He asked.
I nodded. "The best thing you can do is be honest. Just tell her you don't feel that way towards her. She should understand, and if she doesn't it was never meant to be in the first place."
We walked into the classroom, we sat by eachother. I sat right behind him so before the tardy bell rang, he turned around to talk to me. "Thanks y/n. Can you come over to my house after school?"
I nodded. "Sure. George, you just have to tell her." The tardy bell rang, and he turned around. I saw the back of his head. Brown hair, and a cool jacket. He was very attractive.
I started to daydream. I thought about when George and I were younger. I even had a crush on him back then. When we were in the fifth grade he gave me a chocolate chip cookie, that he made, and asked me to be his valentine. On any occasion he likes to give me one of his home made chocolate chip cookies. They are very good.
George suddenly turned around and looked at me. "What?" I whispered.
He started to laugh. "Do you want to be my partner?"
"For what?" I was confused.
He started to laugh again. " So you're daydreamin' again, eh?" I nodded and blushed out of embarrassment. "It's rather cute." I heard him mumble.
"You find it cute?" I asked.
"You weren't supposed to hear that, but yeah." He was blushing now too. He got up, grabbed a paper, and sat down. "We should make cookies."
"Of course." I laughed. "But what is it for?"
He pointed to the paper. "Make something from history."
"Oh God." I laughed. "Wait a guitar made out of cookies!"
"Or something easier?" He laughed. "Like a crown?"
"A life size pyramid!"
"You still daydreaming?" He chuckled.
"I do like the crown idea, because then we can wear it." He nodded. "And decorate it with other sweets!"
"That's what I was thinking."
"I love food!" I groaned.
"Me too." He laughed again. He grabbed a book about royalty. He pointed to a picture of two crowns. "We can make a queen and king one. Then we can dress up like a queen and king and then the cookie crowns."
"Yes!" I high fived him. "We're gonna have the coolest things!"
