George and I walked to his house together. "I didn't tell her." He said quickly.
"George..." I looked at him.
"Maybe I should wait a little longer you know...maybe things could work out." He stated.
"If you think that's best, then I trust you." I told him.
"Okay." I heard him swallow hard. "But I feel terrible because I think I fancy someone...someone else." I looked over at him.
"I think you should break up with her, especially if you think you like someone else." I said honestly. I wonder who else he likes. "But I trust your judgement."
"Thank you y/n, for the advice." We got to his house and he opened the door for me.
"Thanks George." I said and I stepped in.
"Hi mum." He went over to his mother and hugged her. I thought that was sweet.
"Hello Mrs.Harrison." I smiled at the kind lady.
"Hello y/n!" She smiled back.
"We're working on a project." George said.
"What kind of project?" His mother asked.
"It's for history. We're gonna make two crowns out of cookies, and then decorate it. But first we've got to make a queen and king outfit." He showed her the paper. He drew out our design on it.
"Sounds like a mess. As long as you two clean up, I'm fine with it." She nodded and George and I went to his room.
"Ok so..." He opened up his closet and started to look through his clothes. "Hmmm."
"We could use these blankets as capes." I picked up two red blankets that were on the floor.
He smiled and took one of them and wrapped it around himself. "Do I look like a king?"
"Not quite." I laughed. He went back to his closet.
"I have this white shirt. Is that good?" He asked.
"Yeah. Just dress fancy underneath the cape. What do queens wear?" I sat down on his bed.
"Dresses." He chuckled because he knew I didn't really care for dresses.
"Whatever." I sighed. "I'll have a cool cape and a cookie crown. That's living the good life."
"Yes it is." He agreed. "But if you really don't want to wear a dress I bet we could find something else."
"No it's fine." I laughed. "I have a nice dress I could wear." He nodded. "When is this project due?"
"Friday." He said.
"What's today again?" I asked.
He laughed. "Tuesday."
"We have time then." I said and he nodded.
"We should make the cookies tomorrow and then decorate them on Thursday." He said.
"Sounds good." I smiled, I looked at his guitar.
"Do you want me to teach you?" He asked as he picked it up.
"No, it's okay." I said, not wanting to be a bother.
"Oh come on. It'll be fun." He grinned as he put the guitar on my lap. I picked it up, and set it as I would go to strum it.
"Now play an e minor." He said. I knew that chord so I put my fingers in the correct place.
"Good. Now, do you know how to finger pick?" He asked.
I laughed. "No, it's way too hard."
"That's why you've got to learn." He taught me a basic riff. It was hard at first, but then you got used to it. Every time I messed up he'd put my finger in the correct place, causing shivers throughout my body.
"I should get going home now." I picked up my backpack.
"Ok, look for something to go with the cape or something. Can you come over tomorrow and Thursday?" He walked with me outside.
"Probably." I said. "I'll see you at school."
"See you then." He smiled and I walked off.
When I got home my mum ran straight to me. "Y/n!" She whisper yelled. "Where were you?"
"George's." I said simply. "Why? I thought I could go over today."
"No! We have guests! Go put on a dress!" She motioned to me to run up the stairs to my room. I did as she said.
I got to my room and put on a dress. I forgot that my dad had invited his boss and his family to our house for dinner. I'm gonna be grounded for my whole life now.
I went down the stairs and my dad gave me a disapproving look. I knew I had disappointed him, and it did not feel good.
"Sorry about my daughter." He said. I sat in the only seat available, the one right by their son. His name is Ryan, and I despise him. He thinks he's better than everyone else, and he talks down about Paul. Marissa and him would make a fantastic couple.
"Oh that's fine!" Ryan's dad chuckled. "She learns from greatest." He was clearly hinting about my dad. He was late to work a lot, but it's not his fault. It's my younger sister always taking too much time to do anything. She has a massive crush on Ryan.
"I'm sorry about my tardiness." My dad frowned. I caught my sister looking at the blonde freak. She has a poor taste in guys, but then again she's only twelve.
I heard the doorbell ring. "I'll go get it mum!" My little sister stood up quickly and went towards the door.
"Y/n." My mum sighed. "Will you go with her, please?" I nodded and got up.
"It's just her boyfriend!" My little sister yelled, then ran back to the table.
"I don't have a boyfriend!" I laughed.
"You're always at George's!" She said back.
"Girls!" My mom said strictly. I went to the door, and sure enough George was standing there with a big grin on his face.
"You left you're school work at my place." He handed me a couple of papers. "Thought I'd give them to you now before I forget."
I took them out of his hands. "Thanks George. Oh and, I don't know if I'll be able to come over the next days. I was late for an important dinner." I laughed.
"Oh. I could come over here." He suggested.
"Maybe, I'll see." I smiled. He was so cute. The moonlight hit his face just right, and his eyes glowed with good spirit.
"Y/n." My mum walked up behind me. "Wrap it up dear."
"Sorry Mrs.L/n for coming at a bad time." He apologized.
"Oh it's fine." She said.
"Mother, I need to either go to George's house or have him come here because we have to work on a school project." I thought I'd get this over with.
"If it's for school, fine." She said. "Now come back to the table."
"Bye y/n." George waved.
"Bye George, and thanks again!" I waved and closed the door.
"Why isn't he your boyfriend?" She asked. Little did she know, I've been asking myself that same question for years.
"Mum!" I started to blush. "He's got a girlfriend."
"Then what about Paul?" She pushed. "I thought he took you to the dance."
"Mum, were just friends." I sat back down and quietly ate my dinner. I thought of George the whole time.
