chapter twenty

The four entered Jacelyn's hospital room and she immediately smiled. Zachary ran and hugged her and so did Andy. Lucy took a quick selfie with her and hugged her. Pheobe looked down at her shoes feeling a bit awkward.

"How long have I been here?" Jacelyn asks

"Almost a month and Zachary rarely left your side the whole time." Sawyer says nudging Zachary's arm.

"What about mom?" Jacelyn asks

"I haven't seen her for like two weeks." Zachary says

"You haven't checked on her or called?" Jacelyn asks

"I didn't think about it, I was too busy worrying about you." Zachary says

"When can I leave here?" Jacelyn asks

"I don't know you'll have to ask Dr. Jones." Zachary says he'd suddenly grown self-conscious considering the fact that Jacelyn didn't even ask what she'd missed or how any of them were.

"I'll go get him if you'd like." Pheobe says

"Oh, I'm surprised you're here." Jacelyn says rudely.

"Of course I'm here." Pheobe says

"Why?" Jacelyn asks

"I'm gonna go get Dr. Jones." Pheobe tries to change subject.

"No, I wanna know why you came." Jacelyn urges, she sat up in the hospital bed.

"Jace, she just wanted to come. Don't be rude." Zachary says to his sister.

"I'm just asking a question." Jacelyn says with a shrug

"I-I," Pheobe couldn't make herself speak. She hated being yelled at, she always got emotional when people yelled.

"If you're not going to answer my question you might as well leave!" Jacelyn yelled and that sent Pheobe's tears to finally fall. She ran out of the room and sat on a chair in the hall with her head in her hands.

"What's your problem Jacelyn! She hasn't done anything to you!" Zachary yells and Jacelyn jumps.

"Dude, don't yell at her she's been through alot." Andy says

"We've all been through things." Zachary says and walks out of the room to find Pheobe. She was crying in the waiting room with her head in her hands. Zachary ran to her and grabbed her hand. She looked up and cried more.

"What have I done to make her hate me so much?" Pheobe asks

"I don't know." Zachary says and pulls Pheobe to her feet. He placed her head on his chest and she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"I'm sorry." Pheobe whispers

"For what?" Zachary asks

"For overreacting," Pheobe says

"You're not. I don't know what's gotten into Jacelyn lately." Zachary says

"She hates my guts." Pheobe mumbles.

"No she doesn't. She'll get over it. She's hated me plenty of times but once she realizes that she needs me she gets over it." Zachary says and rubs Pheobe's back

Then suddenly a person wearing a hood suddenly walked over to them and made sure they couldn't see their face.

"Can you direct me to the room Jacelyn Brunette is staying in?" The person says. The voice wasn't familiar but it was definitely a woman trying to sound like a man.

"Why would I tell you?" Zachary says defensively and pushes Pheobe behind him.

"Because if you don't I'll slit your throat." The person got up close.

"Um- r-room four hundred and fi-five." Zachary stuttered and the person took off. Zachary pulled out his phone and quickly texted Sawyer.

Zachary; SOS! Creepy guy just threatened me. He's heading your way!

Sawyer; What do I do? Jacelyn has a broke foot, we can't run.

Zachary; Figure something out we're coming.
