The Cabin In The Woods

chapter twenty-five

Andy had been missing for two weeks now. Nobody knew where he was. He was all over the news and on the front page of the newspapers but not a soul knew anything about his whereabouts. Sheriff Rogers says that they would send out an Amber Alert after a month of him being missing if he still wasn't found by then. Andy didn't contact Jacelyn anymore. Jacelyn was always sitting on the couch watching the news reports about him. After exactly two and half weeks Jacelyn recieved a letter in the mail.

The letter said;

Dear Jacelyn,

Your boyfriend is extremely annoying, I don't know how you put up with him. I've tried my best to keep him alive but I'm afraid I can't hold back much longer so I'm going to give you one chance and one chance only to save Andrew and find out who I am. Come to the last place Catherine Murphy saw, and at the time of her death. Bring whoever you want as long as it's not the police, however if the police do show up I'll kill someone who is very beloved.

Jacelyn read over the note nearly ten times before she realized what it meant. The last place Catherine saw was obviously the Cabin. And according to rumors she was murdered at midnight. So that night Jacelyn, Zachary, Sawyer, Lucy, and Pheobe all met up and without notifying anyone, no parents, and definitely no police, they set off towards the woods an hour before midnight.

Zachary noticed something off about Jacelyn but he didn't want to upset her even more by asking questions so he kept quiet. It took them awhile to reach the cabin but when they finally reached it they immediately saw Andy hanging upside down by his feet on a tree. He was hung like a butchered pig, blood ran on his face and dripped onto the grass below him.

"Oh my god." Lucy mumbled and ran to check his pulse. She was just tall enough to reach Andy's neck. His pulse was there and Sawyer began to carefully climb the tree to free Andy. Zachary and Pheobe stood underneath him so they could lower him to the floor safely. Lucy occasionally checked his pulse to make sure he was still alive. And Jacelyn... Jacelyn disappeared. They had only looked away for a moment and she was gone. Once they freed Andy they started to finally search for Jacelyn.

"Jacelyn! Where are you?!" Zachary yells just as a cloaked figure emerged from the Cabin. Andy was halfway conscious and he kept mumbling Jacelyn's name. Not entirely in a good way...he was saying some things that the others ignored, it just didn't seem right.

"Well well well, looks like you saved Andy after all." The cloaked person says, the same voice changer that was used during the talent show was hidden under the cloak.

"Who are you?" Sawyer yells

The cloaked person began to answer but stopped when she heard police sirens. They glared at the kids and pulled a gun from their pocket.

"I told you not to call the cops." The person says and raises the gun towards Pheobe. Sawyer pushed Lucy backwards on instinct but Zachary didn't move. He was frozen.
