Episode 4: Mistake Made On Purpose (Part 2)

When I got up the next day I ate breakfast and got ready for school. I told Steve that I would walk instead so he wasn't late. When arrived at school I saw Dustin.

"Hey" I greeted him.

"Oh hey Nicole. I didn't know you lived with Steve."

"Oh yeah I do. Hopper figured that I should probably have a home."

"Yeah" Dustin said.

I could tell that he was confused on all of it but he just let it go. I just hang around with him for some of the morning until the bell rang. In one of my classes I had to use the restroom. When I finished up washing my hands I looked at my reflection. I looked down at my foot pulling my sock down a little reveling a black unusual scar.

Flashback:
"Now go into that hole." He said.

As one foot was going in I had to take a deep breath. This was another experiment that I didn't want to do. I had a bad feeling about it. With the last exhale I stepped into what the scientist called: the upside down. It was an exact replica of the lab except it had weird white floaty stuff floating all around me. I couldn't really tell what they were. The scenery felt darker and colder. Like there was a giant gust of wind that was a faint gray color. As I stepped out of the room I looked around to get a better glimpse. I remembered the upside down world. I wasn't completely clueless to what it was. I've unfortunately knew what it was. With every step that I took it got colder and colder. Felling like something was watching me. With that feeling I quickly got out of the labitory. The labitory was already a creepy place to me. Outside looked no different. The sky was dark and it looked like rain clouds filled it. Still white 'dust' filling the air and could breeze giving me chills down my back. I suddenly hear a loud noise. Sounding like something was rumbling through the top of the laboratory. I turned around and saw nothing. Just when I was about to go back to exploring some more a large figure stood right in front of me. He had huge legs and arms. He was bigger than the dog like figure I imagined before. Its face had sharp teeth and no eyes at all. But it looked like a ghost rather than a sold object. I stood there in fear not knowing what to do when it ran towards me. Not stopping but going through me. It disappear rather than going out from the other side. I chocked and fell to the floor feeling faint and week. Then an even larger figure or shadow popped over the laboratory. It looked like a cloud but had a figure carved into it. It was coming after me. So I got up and just ran. With every meter that I took I could feel like it was getting harder and harder to breathe.

"I need to turn around and face it. Kill it by using my powers" I thought.

With my hand up I tried to keep it away. It didn't work. My sight was getting blurry and my legs felt weak. Before I almost blacked out I could see the shadow coming closer and then entering my body. Through my ears, eyes, mouth, nose. I felt it everywhere. Going into me and killing every last part of my control. Then I blacked out.

​When I woke up I coughed out goo. And then threw up. Felling still week but strong enough to get up. When I got up I started walking I tripped over my foot and notice a black scar on it. Blood dripping down remembering that he slashed me there before disappearing. I kept walking and realized a portal. I ran towards it and I was no longer in the upside down world. From that day on I never truly felt like myself or got rid of the scar. Knowing he was still in my and still wanted something that was easy for me to reach W-I-L-L

Back to now: I pulled the sock back up and walked out of the bathroom. I saw Dustin walk out of the men's room.

"Oh hey" he said will a bright smile on his face.

"Hey Dustin." I returned the smile.

"What class are you in now?" he asked

"Math" I said rolling my eyes.
