Episode 3: Cold As The Snow(Part 2)

When we sat at our table I sat by mike. A little close this time though. Out of nowhere I saw max. She sat down by Lucas.

"Where were you?" I asked.

"Sorry I was late, my dumb ass brother was being dumb." Max replied.

"Oh."

"Looks like someone is a lot more talkative today." Dustin said.

"What. Who." I said looking around but teasing him.

They all started to laugh.

"So are you guys ready for the science test.?" Dustin asked.

"Yeah. It's so easy" Lucas replied.

"Hey do you guys all want to come to my house after school?" Will said.

Will was a little bit quieter today.

"Sure" we all said.

"Aw shoot, I can't come. Billy is picking me up after school." Max said rolling her eyes.

"Oh that sucks. Well see you tomorrow though," Lucas said.

I kind of figured Lucas and Max liked each other or something.

When the bell ran I continuous on with my day. It was kind of nice not having strange feelings. Finally when it was time to go to wills. I started walking to the front. I saw Steve driving his car getting ready to pick me up.

"Hey" He yelled from the car trying to get my attention.

When I walked over to him I explained the plan for after school.

"Oh yeah, that's fine. Have fun!" Steve said.

Steve was really nice and understanding. Kind of like a mom in a way.

When I caught up with them we all started to walk to his house. Everyone was shivering in the cold but I actually found it kind of nice.

In The Car With Billy: As max got into the car she looked out the window. Not making any eye contact to her brother. As they drove off she didn't say anything. She was too mad at him.

"Sorry" Billy said after 5 minutes of silence.

"What?" Max said while turning her head in surprise.

"I'm sorry for being a total dick." Max just stared at him a little longer.

"I'm sorry for being mad all the time and taking it out on you. I understand if you hate me by now." Max felt kind of bad.

"It's......" She let out a breath. "Ok." Max looked out the window, smiled and surprise that her once mean brother was now apologizing.

She thought to herself. It's about time but I think I can forgive him. The once negativity in the car turned into positivity and all because of one word, Sorry.

At Wills House: When we got there we all started hanging out in his living room.

"Oh my gosh it so cold" Dustin said.

"You can make a fire if you want" Will suggested.

My attention went to the word fire. It meant something but I couldn't really figure out what. Then Joyce walked into the room.

"Oh hey boys" She said and then stop when she saw me.

"Hey, who are you?" She asked nicely.

"This is Nicole. She's new at school." Will said just before I could talk.

"Hi" I said.

"Hi. Why don't you guys start a fire. It's freezing in here." Joyce said.

When Lucas and Dustin went outside to get wood I started to talk to will and mike.
