Chapter 10

     Pixis sat in the guest room, the blanket pulled up to his nose. He groaned loudly, before turning over to his stomach.
     "Off your stomach, remember?" Reiji said, not even looking up from the book he was reading from, in the corner.
     "But Mr. Butler~ It hurts to be on my back." Pixis whined, pushing the blankets so he could turn back around and sit up.
     "Fine then; do what you want. But you won't get any better." Reiji sighed, standing up to leave the annoyed neko.
     Pixis grumbled something under his breath, pouting at the tall vampire. "Don't leave me here." He mumbled instead; knowing he couldn't argue with Reiji.
     "I'll send one of my brothers in." Reiji said after a moment, then he left. Pixis pulled the blanket back over him, letting out a soft sneeze. He squeezed his eyes shut as he curled into himself, ignoring Reiji's command to stay on his back.
     Suddenly, the weight shifted on the bed. Quickly sitting up, Pixis looked to see a blonde in the bed next to him. He almost called out the vampires name, but only smiled instead.
     Pixis then decided on his own to curl up into Shu's body. The neko smiled when he felt strong arms go around his back. He pushed himself further into the larger body, clinging onto the other.
     Pixis tried his best to sleep, though his mind only drifted to thoughts of Shu's soft lips. Yes, Pixis kissed him first that one time, but he never expected Shu to kiss him on his way out of the mansion. That was never part of the plan. Maybe that was why he came back. He wanted to feel those lips again.
     Selfishly, Pixis wanted to feel another pair of lips as well. The memory of feeling Ayato's thin lips, wet from the pool water, still flooded his mind just as much as Shu.
     At this point, Pixis was squirming at the thought that there were much more reasons he wanted to come back. The way Laito had looked at him when he was closed off in the room, ordered to strip and change. Sure, Pixis is convinced Laito looks at anyone that way. But he personally felt something different in it.
He smirked at the thought of seeing Subaru blush again for whatever reason. The albino was quite cute to the neko; the way he'd blow up but still be stuttering and blushing over things.
Even Reiji. He wasn't sure what it was with that vampire. Pixis liked how the older male would try to keep his cool, even as the neko blatantly did something annoying or attempted to do be seductive or cute to try and get a reaction from him. Reiji tried to stay stoic, but Pixis could already notice the slightest change in his attitude after he did something.
Thinking of attitude brought Pixis to Kanato. The neko already had approval of Teddy, so that was a definite plus. But Kanato's overall cute look, and the obvious protectiveness for the neko against Azusa made Pixis laugh.
Maybe even the Mukami's were why he came back. Pixis groaned at the thought of them too. What was happening?
"Why do you keep moving?" Shu suddenly said, opening an eye to look at the frustrated neko. "Just take a nap."
"It's not that easy." Pixis mumbled, pouting unintentionally as he looked at the blonde. Shu opened his mouth to speak, but shut his eye in silence instead.
Pixis looked at the chest in front of him. "Anyway, you're not going to get sick from me are you?"
Shu shook his head, his hair bouncing around before settling again as he set his head down. "Cute.." Pixis giggled.
"Stop." Was all Shu said, though an obvious blush had spread across his face.

A couple of days had gone by and Pixis wasn't getting any better. He was still in the guest room, which Kanato now called it Pixis' since his "sickness was throughout it".
Not only was Pixis getting worse, but the sleepy vamp came down with a cold as well. "I thought vampires couldn't get sick?" Pixis would bother Shu with the question multiple times, earning himself a glare and a "You're annoying."
This only stressed Reiji out. As he wanted to make Pixis top priority to get him better, he only knew how to help his older brother and not the neko quite yet. The vampire suggested going to Ruki, as the two had had conversations about their work before.
Pixis now stood with his small bag and a thin borrowed blanket, at the door. He was going to take a trip to the Mukami's.
"Ne~? No one wants to hold my hand and escort me outside?" Pixis blinked with wide eyes, holding his hand out jokingly.
All the brothers stared at the neko, looking away after in some way. Finally, Ayato groaned and walked towards him.
"Fine, Ore-sama will walk you to the limo." He said, opening the door for the neko.
Reiji felt a ping of jealousy when Pixis looked at his brother, smiling cutely. He sighed at what he thought was his own immaturity showing, and walked away.
"Come back soon." Kanato found himself saying, but he quickly left as well.
Pixis waved to who was left before shutting the door and following Ayato towards the limo. "I wanted to ask you something." Ayato finally spoke up, almost regretting his words and wishing the limo parked closer to the door and not the gate.
Pixis hummed for him to go on, looking up at him.
"When..you kissed me..?" Ayato started, questioning himself if he should even go on. Pixis stopped, standing still and looking up at the redhead. "What about it?"
"I don't know. I just wanna know why." Ayato said, his face twisted in confusion.
"I...I don't know either. I just kind of felt like it." Pixis said, not really sure how to deal with feelings and being truthful about things. Ayato frowned at this, turning towards the limo.
"Alright, whatever." He said, keeping his eyes away from the neko. Regardless of that, he opened the limo door for the other, turning away afterwards.
Before Pixis stepped inside he looked at the vampire, who was obviously avoiding eye contact.
"Ayato...even though it was short...I enjoyed it. If that's part of the reason you asked." Pixis mumbled, blushing. The neko got on his toes, pressing a soft kiss to the vampires cheek. He then climbed into the limo, letting the door shut.
Ayato looked at the limo before walking down the path towards the mansion. He should've turned his head and kissed him. Or maybe he shouldn't have.
He groaned, stomping towards the building and pushing his hands through his hair in frustration.
