Hi guys!
Okay, so bombshell announcement:
I'm rewriting.
I know, I know, the story seems okay now, but I was thinking about why it was so hard to write new chapters, and I realized I was missing some key things. I mean, what story doesn't have a villain? And there's a long-term goal, but the rest of the story kinda just jumps from event to event.
I also realized I started writing before I actually went to college... so a lot of this stuff is kinda unrealistic. Mostly little things, like how dorms and roommates work.
So here's the plan-
1) I like the setting and the basis of the story. I'm keeping most of the characters too.
2) The training and competition will become secondary to the main conflict- sorta like Harry Potter and his studies compared to Voldemort. I'm thinking mystery that has something to do with the darker side of the high-level competition world- you know, steroids, early training, immoral training, sabotage... fun stuff.
3) It'll be easier and faster to write! I also plan on making an updating schedule once I'm back at school and giving you weekly or biweekly chapters.
Any suggestions for villains or conflicts? I think I have a few solid ideas, but I'll take any input!
