Adelaide avoids Edward for the rest of the day and when it comes to who's taking who home, she rides with Alice and Jasper. The blonde empath can feel her raging emotions and feels pity for the small brunette; she -and everyone else besides himself- don't know the real love he shares for her. How lust comes off of Edward when he catches sight of Bella and how pure and absolutely adoring love radiates off of him when he gazes at Adelaide. Jasper turns to his wife and they both share a sad smile before looking at the untrained hunter in the backseat; Her hair is in her usual messy bun and wisps of hair are stationary on both sides of her cheeks. She is staring out the window blankly as she chews on her bottom lip and messes with her chipped nails. She has her headphones in, and even without their supernatural hearing, they could hear the blasting of Pan!c at the Disco. Getting to her house, she sends them both a meek smile before grabbing her bag and opening the truck door, but before she can leave Jasper reaches around and grabs her arm.

"Just give him time, he'll realize all she is is his blood singer. Nothing more."

Adie smiles sadly, "I wish I could believe that, Jaz."

The next day Adelaide wakes up early to text the Cullens not to pick them up today and to put snow chains on her wheels. She walks back into the house and slumps onto her bed tiredly before throwing her comforter around her and snuggling into its warm embrace. A few hours later, Mo comes sauntering into her room, a big ass smile on her face. Adelaide sends the too peppy girl a glare which doesn't deter the blonde. The petite girl goes into her closet, humming a song, and produces black skinny jeans with rips on the knees and thighs and a blood red shirt that shows some cleavage.

"Mo, no."

"Mo, yes," she nods her head frantically. "Show Eddie what he's missing."

"Like a slutty outfit will bring to light his feelings."

Mo shakes the shirt in her hands, "It might." she sings.

So that's how Adelaide finds herself dressed in an outfit she'd never wear, next to a shocked Edward -and Emmett- and glancing at her exposed belly... turns out Morgan got a crop top. Adelaide glances around uncomfortable when she meets the eyes of Isabella Swan; the new girl quickly looks away pink dusting her cheeks. Adelaide leaves it be till she sees the brunette glance at her yet again causing her to let out an annoyed sigh and a roll of an eye. She ignores the conversation going on around and when Bella looks at her yet again Adelaide loses it. It seems all her wounded feelings have turned into anger and all of it is directed towards Isabella. She stalks across the parking lot towards the new brunette, ignoring the calls of her name. Using force she didn't know she had, pushes Bella onto the side if the bed of her truck, eyes snarling.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" she snarls out.

Bella looks frightened, "I-I d-didn't."

"Bullshit." Adie pushes her into the car more.

"ADIE!" the horrified scream is accompanied by a high pitched screech of a car skidding out of control. She spins around quickly to see a dark blue van skidding towards Bella and her, tires locked and squealing against the brakes. She looks up terrified to find Eddie looking at her in horror as the Cullens -Dallon, Emmett, and Jasper- hold back her three struggling sisters. It is then she knows the destination of the van and in utter instinct, throws Bella into the bed of the truck and braces herself for impact.

Just before the shattering crunch of the van folding around the truck bed, something hits Adie, hard, but not from the direction she's expecting. Her head cracks against the icy blacktop, and something solid and cold is pinning her to the ground. She's lying on the pavement behind the tan car Bella'd parked next to. But the van is still coming. It had curled gratingly around the end of the truck and, still spinning and sliding, is about to collide with her, but all she can think about is Bella and if she is okay. Two long, white hands shoot out protectively in front of Adelaide, and the van shudders to a stop a foot from her face, the large hands fitting providentially into a deep dent in the side of the van's body.
