The first day after the accident is chaotic as the whole school tries to surround her bed and outside her room; it seems that almost being crushed by a van and getting swelling in the brain accompanied by being marked 'a hero' for saving Bella, she couldn't catch a break from the students of Forks High. Currently, she's surrounded by Eric, Ben, Jess, and Angie who are either fussing over her or are trying to share gossip... I think we all know who that is.
"Are you sure you're comfortable?" worries Angie as she adjusts her glasses after moving Adie's pillow higher.
"Angela I'm fine, I promise."
Ben scoffs, "Swelling in the brain is not nothing."
Adelaide laughs and shakes her head ignoring the slight pain it caused, "I'll be healed in no time."
Her saving grace comes in the form of Dallon -which surprises everyone in the room- and he gracefully glides into the room. He sends them all his usual dimple filled smile and Adie sees Jess swoon and rolls her eyes, Jess seems taken with every boy to show her the slightest attention. Why couldn't she just stick with Mike? He asks them politely to leave and with his charm, they all get up and leave.
Once they are out of sight, Dallon cranes his neck to make sure no one's watching before he moves his hand forward and gallons of paint glide, midair, into the room. Adelaide's mouth drops open and she claps her hands excitedly as Dallon mentally controls them to land on her lap; she opens the lids of two of them and finds lavender and sky blue -her favorite colors.
"Edward picked the colors... said they were your favorite colors. Morgan and your sisters will be here to help you."
"And how about your bronze haired, brooding brother?"
"He's with-"
"Bella," she sighs out and rolls her eyes. "Figures."
Dallon leans in close as if he is telling a secret, "We all like you better." he whispers causing her to grin.
"You have good taste." teases the brunette.
Her sisters come and with a quick glance at Morgan, Dallon leaves. The four girls spend the next few hours joking, singing, and painting the room. At the end of their activity, the whole left wall is covered in multiple colors with Little Mix in big black block letters with the inside colored lavender with a tint of sky blue. Symbols that describe the girls litter the walls and they all giggle as Adie finishes drawing uneven glasses. She pokes out her tongue at the giggling girls before joining in with the laughing.
A knock on the door causes them to stop short and turn around with deer caught in headlights look. Thankfully it is only Edward, a crooked smile on his lips, holding up a bag of Panda Express. Adie smiles at the bag and makes grabby hands causing him to laugh; he makes sure it's just the five of them before using his speed to come to stand in front of Adie. The brunette quickly seizes the food and plops onto the hard floor causing Edward to give her an amused smile. She takes out the Chinese food and munches on the chow mein and grins up at him, patting the spot beside her.
"How's Bella?""Let's not talk about her."
"Already over your new obsession already, Eddie?" she teases playfully and nudges him in the side.
"I'm not obsessed." denies Edward and she lets out a boisterous laugh.
"You're not foolin' anyone, Edward." they both choose to ignore the sadness in her voice.
The next day, the pounding in Adelaide's head left her in a cold sweat and withering pain. The brunette couldn't even open her eyes for the bright lights burned her eyes. She could feel the constriction of her clothes as the sweat laced them to her body. She feels a cool hand on her forehead and whispers his name. He'd finally come to his senses left the defenseless human. Forgotten his weird obsession... but reality struck her in the heart when the voice turns out to be female.
